I am a basketball fan. I played this game since I was 14 years old. And there are always controversies when we talk about the greatest player of all time. I can say that Larry Bird is the best player, but he wasn't a shooting guard. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was also an excellent player, but he played at the position of center.
So, here is my question: Who is better between Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant? And why? I want everyone's opinions. Thanks.

Jesus Christ, if you know about Larry Bird and Kareem...then you have to know the Micheal Jordan is the hands down best player of all-time no question.

5 MVP's, 10 scoring titles, 6 Final's MVP's Rookie of the Year etc.

Kobe shouldnt be in the the same breathe as any of those people you mentioned. 17th year in the league and he only has...

1 MVP and 2 Final's MVP. And that's it for Individual Awards. He has been blessed with some of the best teammates ever like Shaq, Pau, and Odom Phil Jackson as a coach.

Don't let the fanboy's and Media fool you Kobe isn't what people say he is.

Because he won 5 titles, and 3 MVps against a much harder competition in Bird and the Celtics than Jordan ever had to face in the 90s (That's not even talking about the bad boy pistons who shut jordan down every single years in the 80s and early 90s).

If we're strictly talking about two guards then this is easily Jordan. If we're talking about guards in general then Magic enters the conversation.
