Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/01/12]

Good game for Indy so far.

Lance Stephenson with a couple quick 3's and Davis West is having his way inside as usual.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/01/12]

Paul George and Roy Hibbert are so frustrating to watch. They don't even seem like they think their shot is going to go in when they shoot it.

George should be a top 20 player in this league. He's just missing that killer instinct.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/01/12]

Wow Brooklyn's free throw shooting fell apart in the second half. They got pretty much everywhere they wanted on the court against the Heat, but just couldn't knock down free throws. Joe Johnson also had some horrible turnovers.

CJ Watson single-handedly stopped what otherwise was beautiful ball movement by the Heat.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/01/12]

Mahinmi with another deep mid range shot.

Yep, that's what we want Ian.

And the GS announcer has called Mahinmi Roy Hibbert twice now. What a ****ing chump.

Not sure they lost that game because of FT's. Heat slept walk through the first half, and turned on the D early this time (3rd quarter). They did have ample opportunities to get back in it in the fourth when Miami's O sputtered again, but the D stayed turned up (particularly Cole on DWill). They missed 10 FTs and lost by 13. Ignoring the Heat's great second-half D and blaming this on FT shooting seems pretty off.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/01/12]

4 minutes into the second period and finally the starters are back in.

Lance Stephenson starts the game off like hes going to have a career night, then he gets to sit on the bench for 15 minutes. Real smart play.

Even with the increased defensive pressure, the Nets were still getting to great spots on the floor throughout the 3rd quarter. They were simply missing their free throws. The Heat were also getting the benefit of some favorable calls throughout their little spurt. Once the dynamite CJ Watson/Keith Bogans backcourt came in the game to start the 4th, the ball movement ground to an immediate halt and the turnovers started to escalate. Also, that team really misses Brook Lopez in crunchtime. He's a reliable free throw shooter and the team's go-to scorer in the halfcourt.

*against the Heat...right?

Anyway, CJ wasn't spectacular, but he hit a couple of big 3's for them. The ball was mostly in Williams hands late in the game, until the Heat forced it out with Cole's defense or PnR traps.
