Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/05/12]
Kenneth Faried might be my favorite player in the league aside from George Hill. This guy has an amazing motor. He's definitely not the smartest player, but he's always around. He had the ball in the paint for the first 3 plays in a row for Denver, although he missed and turned the ball over on the first two. He's already scored, had a LeBron-type block, and almost tip-slammed all over some poor Atlanta Hawk. And he still looks like he could go run a marathon, then play a game directly after that.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/05/12]
Whelp, call me a shitty fan, but I'm not even going to watch the rest of the game. Golden state leads by almost 20 points in the 3rd and I've been awake since 0500. Guess I'll see the results tomorrow. Goodnight, all.

I want to see Andre Drummond face off against Dwight Howard in a free throw shooting contest.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/05/12]
Danilo Gallinari is such a terrible basketball player. He has all the tools, but he should be bulking up and turning into a 4-man. Instead, he plays like a guard at all times even though he has a shaky handle, never posts up, never brings the ball above his abdomen, so he gets constantly stripped on the drive and around the basket, and in general is just not a smart basketball player. These are correctable issues, and I see why Denver and see many fans see promise in him, but man he is bad sometimes.

Ty Lawson has been god awful at the end of games this year.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/05/12]
That, too. Those 2 turnovers tonight were brutal. But you can't blame him. Gallinari or Iguodala should be taking over these games, but they're timid and not go-to-guys.
Ty Lawson would be performing better this season if Denver had better spacing, but it's hard to drive if the entire defense can collapse on you except that one guy who stays back and prevents lob passes. Speaking of lob passes, though how bad was Ty's lob attempt in the beginning of the second half? Sometimes I question his passing ability.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [12/05/12]
Yeah, one of their big issues when I watched is poor outside shooting. They kick the ball out, and every time it winds up in a non-shooter's hands. I'd like to see them start something like:
Lawson AI Hamilton or Brewer (or Chandler when he returns) Gallo McGee I know Karl has wanted to keep JaVale on the bench, but it's worth trying something crazy. Relegate the worse of Mozgof/Koufos to specialist duty. |
