Damn..Chicago shut us out. Classic case of both teams constantly scoring and being close as hell the entire game.

Well, they replaced him with about 4 players making more and the team is basically the same team. Funny that Hawks fans turn on JJ...they must of forgot who they were before he arrived. Not his fault the Hawks had incompetent ownership while he was there. He did his job.

The 2004 Lakers started the season looking a hell of a lot worse than this squad (11-19 in case you guys don't remember) and still made the Finals that season. I'm not worried about this Lakers team one bit. If they're still losing when Nash/Gasol are both healthy, then I'll start worrying. Until then, we'll be just fine.

The OKC-LAL series is going to be fun as hell. That is, if MEM/SAS/LAC don't stop it from happening.

The 2004 Lakers started the season off well only losing 3 of their first 21 games, you are talking about the 2003 season when they lost in the second round.

You're right, my bad. Got the seasons mixed up.

Re: Today's Game Discussion [ESPN Double-Header: BOS @ PHI | LAL @ OKC - 12/07/12]
The Lakers actually did much better against the Thunder than I thought they would. Jaminson wasn't as good as I thought he would be starting but at the same time though he had Ibaka going up against him so I guess there wasn't much he could really do. I think the Lakers are starting to get it though. They'll be good in no time, as long as Jaminson continues to be consistent scoring wise coming off the bench, as long as Howard can continue to play this way, and as long as their defense improves (and with Dantoni as their head coach, I don't see it happening), the Lakers should be fine.

Don't forget, as long as Kobe can score 30+ a game to keep them in it. I know he had to do it last night with Pau sitting, but he hasn't seemed to develop much more trust in his teammates. He still takes a ton of "bad" shots.
