Has Carmelo finally arrived?

If Kobe's team wasn't playing terribly then he would make this a four way conversation, but unfortunately due to injuries, coaching changes, and just an inexplicably bad start he shouldn't be getting any real attention at this point.

The whole "who is more important to his team" line is BS. What does that have to do with LeBron, Durant or Carmelo? You are going to punish the better players because they have a GM who can put together a team?

If you want the MVP to mean anything you would give it to the best player. But voters would get bored of giving it to LeBron every year. Fair enough but I can't take it seriously.

I don't agree. If you do it that way then it should go to the best player on the team that wins the championship every year.

Racking up stats isn't solely indicative of being one of the leagues best players.

Is James Harden one of the best players in the league? I find it laughable to even think that, but some would argue it.

What exactly are you implying there other than the fact you count Wade and Westbrook AGAINST LeBron and Durant, so even if their numbers are more impressive (and they are) it doesn't mean as much because Melo's team is accomplishing more without as much high level talent?

1.) Jordan
2.) Kobe
3.) Jerry West
4.) Wade
5.) Drexler

Put Carmelo on the Wizards and how much MVP talk would be getting? None. He would still be the same player with the same abilities, but since he plays with better teammates (but not too good) he is now an MVP? Ridiculous.

MVP is an individual award. They have an award for winning, it's called the Larry O'Brien trophy.
