Knicks Tried To Give Amare Away Over The Offseason

This is going to be interesting. I don't remember the exact argument Dre and I were having a few months ago, but this seems to back up my side. I really can't see it working. His attempts at offense would clutter them up, and he's not going to score unless they force it through him. If he's not scoring, he's a net-negative for the team and keeps them from having that extra shooter out there. Not sure about this, though: Quote:

Re: Knicks Tried To Give Amare Away Over The Offseason
It's his own idiotic fault for going to the Knicks in the first place. He should've just stayed with the Suns were he actually was meaningful for them, or go to the Cavs lol.

He's an idiot for letting the Knicks give him a better contract than anyone else would? That depends upon how you define the word. I mean that appears to have been a sound business decision. Well for Amare at least.

I'm sure the guy cries about signing that absurd contract every night as he lights up a cigar with a hundred dollar bill....

I wonder if a Pau for STAT would make sense for both teams.
Nash brings the best out of STAT but then again, Dwight might be a bitch about touches. |

Re: Knicks Tried To Give Amare Away Over The Offseason
I think if the Lakers are going with the D'Antoni system what they need to do is trade gasol for wing shooters. And a back up centre.
Play MWP at PF. They need a SF who can defend and hit the trey. Possibly getting locked into bad contracts but Prince and Stuckey for Gasol might be okay?

No it was in response to Dee-Zy as he said.
On Amare I still think he is a good player but he too needs shooters around him.

Dear god in heaven, please make this happen. Now that Mark Sanchez has been benched I need more amusement.

Don't try to talk to me about contracts when it comes to making the "smart" move. There's no such thing when it comes to this. You're making lots of money regardless, but somehow people fail to realize that.

Re: Knicks Tried To Give Amare Away Over The Offseason
Last year his 3 point percentage was lagging at like 20% for a long time. I think they need someone who can hit at 40% accuracy.
Haven't seen much of him this year but last year he was atrocious.

Re: Knicks Tried To Give Amare Away Over The Offseason
You fully do not understand NBA basketball. Firstly he's an idiot for taking the most money? Um okay. Secondly when he first got there he was an MVP candidate before Melo. Do you think he makes the decisions in the front office to bring in Melo and crew? Wait you probably do...nvm. Im talking to a wall.
