He wore #21 in Minny, but Sharman wore that number and it's since been retired.

To avoid any confusion, whenever I do this, it's in regards to when they wore the number only, not the whole career.

I'm taking players based on the years they wore the number. With that said, I'll take Jason Kidd.

As for competition, wait until No. 6 comes up.

Sorry. 2 seasons of Lebron gets nowhere near Russell or even Dr. J.

Who says I was putting LeBron James in the picture? To me, it's either Bill Russell or Julius Erving.

Got you. We'll wait until that thread to continue that discussion.

The thing with voting for the players when they wore a certain number is kind of tough. Because then you have to evaluate players in different points of their careers.

Metta World Peace might be the best player to wear 4 different numbers?

6 different numbers, although one of them he only wore for 7 games.

Tough but it makes it fun comparing players during a certain time instead of just their entire career, in my opinion.

I went with Jason Kidd as well. What he did with that Nets team alone was incredible. They had no business being in back to back finals. Yes, KG got a ring in Boston wearing #5 but Jason Kidd's peak wearing that number is better than KG's wearing that number.

Not quite so sure about that, actually. Kidd's peak in #5 was certainly longer than KG's in green, but Garnett was really, really good in 2007-2008. It was his last great year, very well may have been better than Kidd in Jersey. I'm not positive, but it's certainly a legitimate discussion.

2007-08 Garnett beats the hell out of Jason Kidd, at any point. Garnett's 08 PER is the highest ever posted by a Celtic not named Larry Bird, and he anchored the best defense in the league.

Yea, but the discussion isn't who had the best peak in each jersey number. Peak certainly comes into play, but it's not the whole argument.

I meant he was the best player ever to wear 4 different numbers, not that he only wore 4.

Not sure who else has wore 15 but I doubt he wins that.

No one went with the Boom Dizzle? He wore #5 during the We Believe run.
