I was speaking in general. The '70s were fine for me.

But a very boring, transparent, and plastic decade following one of the most tumultuous and enlightening ones. Even as a young child I could experience it...while it may not have been fun for a lot of people, it was a necessary time in our country's history and culture.

The '70s were so blah to follow that up (I guess it was necessary also for the country to take a breather). Television was as bad as awful. I will say this: some of the best music came out of the '70s.
