The Memphis Grizzlies have held preliminary trade talks involving Zach Randolph.

The Sacramento Kings are one team that have engaged the Grizzlies on Randolph, according to a source.

The Grizzlies have also been discussing a trade centered on Rudy Gay.

No deal involving Gay is imminent, according to a source.

This doesn't make any sense, but moving Gay does.

It is hard for me to believe that Memphis would want to dismantle a potential championship contender.

I don't see this. The current team isn't a contender, but they are one good move away from it. This isn't that move. Moving Gay makes a lot of sense for reasons on and off the court.

I can understand why they'd move Gay but Zbo?? He's probably there best player. And if its for Cousins, why would the acquire him with Gasol still there??

I always thought that Cousins was a PF, I was surprised that he was listed as a C. I thought they shoved him there because they have no C. Kind of like a la Amare, KG or Bosh.

He's really redundant with Gasol in the line up?

Randolph is easily their best PER guy. If Hollinger is seriously considering moving him, no one is safe.
