Re: Players that appear to be breaking out
Also almost completely under the radar, John Henson is having a great January. He's actually leading the league in rebounds per minute this month. It's no coincidence that he's now getting over 20 minutes a game, either. With his length and motor and his touch from 12 feet and in, he could have a real future in this league. Bucks might have their front court of the future in Henson/Sanders.

Re: Players that appear to be breaking out
Forgot about Jrue Holiday, kid has really stepped up after Iggy's departure.
How exactly can you put Beal and Waiters on this list as rookies? How can you break out when there has been no baseline set? |

In fariness, though, this is Thompson's 2nd season.

Re: Players that appear to be breaking out
I really like Derrick Favors. He's not overtly breaking out like the rest of the people in this thread but he's putting in the work and noticeably on the ascent.

Re: Players that appear to be breaking out
Since this is pretty much identical to the most improved player thread ill repeat Larry Sanders...went from being sent to the d league last year to the most intimidating shot blocker in the league.. rebounds at a high rate and is efficient from the floor..leading the league in bpg at only 25 minutes a night

So a rookie playing slightly better in the 2-3 month of the season doesn't warrant 'breaking out' to me because what exactly are they breaking out of? Just seems odd to label rookies as breakouts |
