Hal Greer is my vote but Tommy and the Pearl were next.

2 more allstar selections. Big whoop. Vince should've made the allstar teams in 2008 and 2009 considering how he averaged over 20 ppg both seasons.

I'm sure Vince played with a dominant center in his heyday....a shot Olajuwon

BTW, I just want to know why Greer has all those 2nd team selections and not once broke into the 1st tier group. The fact that he doesn't have one proves he isn't the clear cut choice in this poll.

Jerry West and Oscar Robertson

Since he doesn't have one, I doubt he's the clear cut choice over Vince.

Re: Best Player to Wear #15?

I made up my mind on Greer when I found out he never averaged 25 ppg in the regular season.

I think an argument could be made that Vince is the best player to wear this number, but Greer has had the best career out of any of these players imo.

Re: Best Player to Wear #15?

so what's the argument for Carmelo, Tom Heinsohn, and Earl Monroe? It could've been Carmelo in the long run if he didn't change his number, considering he's in the perfect situation to put NY back on the map.

Melo didn't really have a say in changing his jersey when he went to New York.

^Earl Monroe...my bad.

Melo helped the Nuggets to the conference finals but that was only when Billups shook things up on the team.

Please stop. Saying Vince is better sets people from Canada back a couple decades, even more so than Mayor Rob Ford.

Nah not blashphemy, but you're bringing up the points issue? They didn't have the 3 point line when Hal played, and he was a great shooter. So I don't really think you can use stats to say Vince was better.

Vince Carter and Bill Russell would've won 13 championships.

Ya but he is one of the most annoying play-by-play guys to listen to. Unless you're a Celtics fan, biggest homer I've listened to in a while. And that my friends is why I voted for Greer.
