Re: All-Star Starters Announced
I can't justify putting Kyrie on the team. The Cavs are just a half game from having the worst record in the league and Kyrie has missed a handful of games.

Re: All-Star Starters Announced
Ya I understand how bad the Cavs are but All-Star game is an individual accolade and should be independent of team success(yes I know that isn't the case but that's how I look at who should/shouldn't be in the game) and on an individual performance there just aren't many guards that are having a better season than Irving (23.3ppg, 5.6apg, 3.6rpg, 1.8spg, 46% from the field 40% from 3, 83% from the line, all on high attempts) Those numbers are pretty similar to Mr. Westbrook. Better numbers than Wade(ya I know he was voted in which is fine), and probably only Rondo and Holiday are up there with him in terms of guard play in the East.

Re: All-Star Starters Announced
I don't intend to argue for Kyrie, but when I look at their roster I have a hard time seeing how that team could win many games. It's just not a real NBA team, especially with Varejao out.

Re: All-Star Starters Announced
West: Paul, Kobe, Durant, Griffin, Dwight
East: Rondo, Wade, LeBron, Carmelo, KG My teams would be... West: Westbrook, Parker, Harden, Curry, Aldridge, Randolph, Duncan East: Irving, Holiday, Jennings, George, Bosh, Lopez, Chandler

Re: All-Star Starters Announced
What! Dwight Howard was voted All-Star starter over Noah, and Chandler? lol The NBA and it's voting fans are a joke! Here we go again with more INFLATED nba stats by allowing players who don't deserve an all-star spot to rack up in all-star stats.

Re: All-Star Starters Announced
lol
Still, I hope the league fixes this error in voting so that players who truly deserve an all-star slot are given the opportunity. Credibility means a lot, and the NBA is losing it. I remember some media crew mentioning Derek Fisher as a potential Hall of Famer. I was befuddled. If Derek Fisher becomes inducted into the Hall of Fame, then the Hall of Fame means diddly squat! Back on credibility, there is no reason why the NBA with its long 82 game season should be less popular than the NFL. Come on NBA! Reduce the playoffs to 4 teams from each conference instead of allowing more than half the league to enter. Make teams WORK for their playoff spot! |

Though on the flip side, Dwight Howard IS an All-Star whether it be by skill or by fans voting in one of the most entertaining players in the league. Stop letting your hatred cloud your judgement. Which Centers should be in the game over Dwight? Only ones I can think of are Ibaka and M. Gasol(Ibaka IMO should be the starter, better stats/more games played/better team). |
