Re: Which group would've been the best?
If you're throwing all of these groups into their primes? Barkley, Olajuwon, Drexler. Without a doubt. Look at them as a big-3... Olajuwon as a Center in his prime was as dominant a basketball player, impactful as, Lebron. Barkley is a a big man who'd probably be looked at as a third fiddle like Bosh, but like Bosh would be more important to his team than the perceived second fiddle. Though putting Bosh in the same sentence as Barkley is a major stretch. And Drexler was a far far far better shooting guard than people remember. Had he not played in the era of Jordan? Well, his career as a SG is far superior to Dwyane Wade's at this point - though Wade can still surpass him if he finds a fountain of health.
So you've got someone as dominant as Lebron, despite fewer titles - he definitely was on a daily basis. Someone far better as a big man than Bosh, who plays far above his size and is an elite athlete. And a guard that led his teams to 3 finals, winning one at 35 averaging a 20-10 finals. You take all three guys in their prime? Better than any other duo, trio, or team on that list.

Re: Which group would've been the best?
If you take that big three in their primes in todays league...no one would stop then. Hakeem would dominate every center,Barkley would be a handful for every team, and Drexler was a beast! Highly underrated player not given enough credit. Awesome defense + offense.

drexler and hakeem won one (for instance) like I said this is not really a clear opinion poll but if we are talking 'all in their primes' ShaKobeMailGlove has more potential than any of the squads listed or any pretty much period (including Hakeem-Barkley-Drexler (and ps Hakeem-Barkley-Pippen would have been a better 'in their primes' squad than the one with Drexler who isnt under-rated) |

Re: Which group would've been the best?
They got their asses whooped. The only reason they even got to the finals was due to an amazing game winning shot by Fisher. Payton and Malone were barely even a factor in the Lakers getting to the finals.

Malone was injured and could have made that series more competitive. And while Kobe/Shaq were healthy, their bickering was a detriment similar to an injury.

Re: Which group would've been the best?
Wasn't he having problems with Phil Jackson's triangle offense?
