My point was that 10ppg is not hard if given the green light, someone to create for you, and no defensive accountability. Thats pretty much the only way Jordan could get double digits. You'd have to overlook gross offensive inefficiency and a huge defensive liability. |

I think Jordan could put up 10 ppg shooting in the low 40's %-wise... I agree that he wouldn't be able to guard anyone in the league really... maybe you could play him as an undersized 4 and let him work in the post.

Re: Jamison: "Jordan could still score double digits today"
He's what, 6'6" 230 at this point? So he would be shorter, lighter and slower than 90% of the PF's out there.... in all THREE of those aspects. And he would give up 2 of the 3 to probably 100% of them.

Re: Jamison: "Jordan could still score double digits today"
I'd imagine that he could still hit corner threes and post up smaller guards at an okay rate. I'd also be surprised if he didn't have a little bit of that slow, herky-jerky high-post game that Paul Pierce works so well against smaller defenders. If you had one or two good defensive bigs to clean up some mistakes you could probably hide him on the third-best perimeter player and have him be a role-player on offense.

I don't care if he's the best basketball player of all-time, he's going to get wasted at the age of 50.

Re: Jamison: "Jordan could still score double digits today"
I wouldn't play him every night. If you really wanted to win a title....I'd construct a roster not dependent on him whatsoever, I'd tell him to get his body ready and wouldn't start playing him until like the last month and a half. Then I'd keep him pretty much primarily for 6 minutes or less situations come playoff times.
But you'd have to have an elite defensive team to mask him If we're talking him on the Bucks or some shit with a green light he probably could do close to 15 ppg but he'd have terrible percentages. He had poor percentages in 2001 I can only imagine now |
