Bron vs Jordan(Statistically)

Considering Lebron' (so far) fabulous 2012-2013 season, is it fair to say that Lebron has now equalled Jordan in terms of pure all rounded playing ability? Not as an entire player, which involves winning, but simply in statistical and on court impact.

Re: Bron vs Jordan(Statistically)

When Jordan left the Bulls the team went 55-23

When Lebron left the Cavs they went from 1st to dead last.

Where have you been? Lebron James has surpassed Michael Jordan a long, long time ago!

How many Pippen's, Kukoc's, Paxson's, Armstrong's & other players of their same calibur were left in Cleveland after James left? They had what? Varejao & maybe one or two others? That's why Chicago's record was still pretty decent.

I voted that LeBron's in the same league, but not quite up to Jordan's level yet. It's still very possible he reaches that level, when it's all said & done. I wanna see how many MVP's and Championships he ends up with when he retires.

Yeah? And when Jordan came back from baseball in 95 he took a 500 team and lead them to 72 games.

Lebron joined the Heat in 2010 and took a 47 win team to 57 wins.

If you guys seriously can't tell just by this statement that Drizzay is just trolling then you guys are blind (and this is coming from me of all people).

Decent?! That's great for any team, especially one that lost it's best player.

Now as for this thread, I think Lebron is actually better all around. Lets think about this for a minute. The guy is not even trying offensively, and yet he's been on an absolute tear. We know Lebron doesn't care that much for scoring, yet he's on the same team as two other all stars and he's still in the top five for points per game off of an incredible 55% FG (it's probably higher at this point). He's just been amazing. I'm not trying to argue that he's a better scorer than Jordan, but at this point in his career he's been so good that he's getting to that point. In all the years I've watched him play I've never seen him play in such an unreal rate.

Then there's the other parts of his game were he clearly beats out Jordan, such as making his teammates better and rebounding. Clearly Lebron is the winner here, when he's out on the floor everyone's involved, Lebron's so dangerous because of his offensive abilities but also because of his ability to get others involved into the mix. I won't comment on defense at the moment. I'm currently mixed on that and still don't know for sure how good Lebron can really be defensively. He seems inconsistent, at times he plays defense at an elite level, but then at times people fly right past him like it's nothing.

I still think Jordan's the all time greatest, but right now, Lebron James is playing like the all time greatest. I've never seen someone who pretty much isn't trying make such an impact like this (although that might change come playoff time, were he'll have no choice but to score out of his mind unless he continues this amazing streak of shooting.)

When Lebron joined the Heat in 2010 he took them to 2 straight Finals and counting. Including 1 Ring...and It's not like Lebron retired after that. He's 28.

And when Jordan left the bulls they went from a 3peat to a second round exit the first time and a 3peat to a 12 win team the second.

Re: Bron vs Jordan(Statistically)

LeBron at 28 years old is more accomplished than Jordan was at 28 years old (yes I know he has played more years), but Jordan will always get the advantage when you factor his whole career vs. what LeBron has done so year.

LeBron's prime definitely rivals Jordan's prime.

You actually think he's being serious right now...come on Jamel, you know that no one is actually this stupid in real life, he's clearly doing it on purpose. Just let it go lol.

I know that, trust me. He picked a tiny fraction of their resumes to focus on. But even when he does that that tiny fraction doesn't favor Lebron.

LeBron has a chance to catch Jordan, but he does already have blemishes on his résumé that Jordan does not. We'll see. I feel fairly comfortable saying he'll be widely regarded as a top five guy when it's all said and done.

Individual ability? I would say yes. As far as success goes in the league? No.

We won't know that answer until he is retired.
