Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
The Knicks are supposedly going after Redick, with Shumpert being the main piece going back to ORL. Makes some sense for both teams, but Redick might be a little redundant in NY.
MIL is supposedly trying to use Ellis to get Smoove. That would be an awful move for ATL. Smith is highly likely to be moved. The Bulls are almost guaranteed to trade RIP to get under the tax. Ben Gordon will probably get traded somewhere since he's causing problems in CHA. Gonna be difficult for them to find a deal they like though. The Bucks are also trying to move Mbah a Moute for Redick. Does Redick/Smoove in for Ellis/Mbah a Moute make them a contender? The Blazers are shopping Hickson. Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
Suns really shouldn't. I don't understand why they seem to think they're one move away. They need to strip this junky team down and tank for 2014 (Wiggins, Parker, and others). I'd be fine with them getting Eric Gordon, but it makes no sense for them to acquire a 27-year-old like Smoove.

Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
I'm fine with Smoove walking. Need to try really hard to be one of the worst teams for the class of 2014. However, wouldn't mind seeing him in SA just to make the playoffs more interesting lol.

Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
I'll say. Tough to move Smoove though. Everyone fears he'll demand the max.

The Knicks think it makes sense for them because they're in win-now mode, and have no time for youth. Redick would help them and give them JR Smith being too JR Smithy insurance, but along with Novak he's a little redundant. |

Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
Does the fact that Dwight spent the all star game mocking Kobe mean that Jim Buss weill finally acknowledge the writing on the wall and trade Namrepus?

Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
Apparently not. They're consistently telling everyone nothing's happening with Dwight. They'll dare him to leave the extra $ and major market on the table. Kinda weird that they may have to talk him into the idea that Kobe WON'T be around too much longer.

Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
Then they'd better trade Mr. Bean because those two won't be teammates next year.

Re: Trade Deadline Rumor Thread
Couple of thoughts:
I wouldn't mind DeJuan Blair winding up in Boston if he's available on the the cheap...Gerald Henderson is a pretty decent two-way guard, a contender that needs some competent wing minutes could help themselves out by trading a low first for him...I hate Amare for Josh Smith for Atlanta, but absolutely love it for the Knicks/playoff viewing purposes...I continue to be surprised that Pierce hasn't been connected in rumors to OKC at any point...Reddick/Shumpert leaves me lukewarm EDIT: Also, if Boston decides to keep the crew together for one more run, I wouldn't mind sending out Fab Melo for Gerald Henderson |
