Wtf is up with Robert Swift?

Robert Swift’s short NBA career, sadly, produced more bad punchlines than it did productive seasons. The heavily-tattooed big man was drafted directly out of high school in 2004 and was a favorite amongst several well-respected NBA GMs, but his game never found a groove and he last played in the NBA back in 2009. After a stint in the NBA’s minor league and a jaunt playing professionally in Tokyo, Swift apparently has settled back in the Pacific Northwest, living in the same house he bought as a member of the Seattle SuperSonics.

His house was recently foreclosed upon, though, and the new owner would like Swift to abandon the property. Swift, according to the television station KOMO (via Deadspin) isn’t going anywhere. And the rubble surrounding Swift’s current squalor isn’t something you’d expect from someone that turned 27 two months ago.

"The first thing you get when you walk in the door is kind of whiff of whatever is festering in here," said Jessica Ko-Dalzell. She and her husband Eric now own a mansion on a hill Sammamish.

The house was owned by former Seattle Sonic and first round pick Robert Swift. He lost the home to foreclosure last year. The Dalzells bought it, but Swift has been living in it ever since.

"He never came to the door, he never talked to any of us. We came multiple times. We sent him letters. We left him letters," Ko-Dalzell said.

At some point this past weekend, Swift and others moved out of the home. The Dalzells had their first full look inside Monday.

"It was a shocker. It was definitely a shocker," Eric said.

OMG He did, didn't he? Totally forgot about that. The tattoos were one thing, but the nails were another.

He was supposed to be the next Jack Sikma. Oh boy.

Robert Swift pre-tattoo was much better than him post-tattoo. He still had some speed and hustle back then. Once he tore his ACL and bulked up he was just another stiff.

I remember the days when Sonics fans kept hoping he'd be good. Looking back, all he really had was the occasional 5ft jumper.

How'd he leave all his stuff behind anyway? He left all his guns. Did he just grab his bong and drive away? I'm assuming that's what happened because they don't show his bong, and I'm assuming he has a bong.
