I've taken Hudson off the list just now because http://www.realgm.com is reporting that he has signed a 3 year el cheapo deal with Minnesota.
Since Kevin McHale is going to be hit with the luxury tax ANYWAY, I think that he should go ahead and use up his ENTIRE mid-level exception on a couple more of these EL CHEAPO free agents. I think it's pretty dumb to pass up some of these guys at such low prices, don't you think? Troy Hudson was the #2 scoring option for the #5 seed in the East last year, and he's going for $2 mil? DAMN!

Possible destinations for the top remaining free agents...
Michael Redd--Minnesota?
Popeye Jones--Dallas?
Travis Best--New York?
Erick Strickland--Cleveland?
Shawn Kemp--Dallas?
Chris Gatling--Portland?
Brian Skinner--New York?
Kevin Ollie--Miami?
Bryon Russell--Washington?
I'm guessing that Olowokandi, Nesterovic, Nailon, Najera and Zhi Zhi all re-sign and stay with their current teams, and that both Rashard Lewis and Bonzi Wells will re-sign and either stay with their current teams or get shipped out in a sign-and-trade.
Everybody on the list after Bryon Russell? It's not looking good for these dudes, is it?

(Top ones that are worth taking:
Voshon Lenard- Can hit 3 point shots, had a great end of the year for Denver, worth it!
Eddie House- Young, quick, can score, change of pace guy!
Rod Strickland- Solid vet leadership, can still play, had a ok year last year but what team wants him?
Damon Jones- Great defender, and is a tall PG
Darvin Ham- Athlete 4, rebounds and is tough, will be on a playoff team.
Wang Zhi Zhi- obvious young talent,
Shawn Kemp- Can still play some, please go on Orlando
Kenny Satterfield- Denver should sign him, future PG, don't let him go.
Kevin Ollie- been to the Finals, that alone will get him a job alone with good defense.
Eduardo Najera- I hope Dallas lets him go, because then they will really have NO defense at all!
Lee Nailon- Young talent, can score and has good size at the 3, great up side.
Michael Olowokandi- just plain obvious, Clipps need him!
Rashard Lewis- If he leaves, what do the Sonics have?
Bonzi Wells- Good talented SG, can play in the post and that is rare for a 2 guard, Portand better keep him, but if not trade him up for Wally and the Bonzi will be a Wolve, fine with me!
Radoslav Nesterovic- Another can't miss prospect, great center, really improved last year and just think if he keeps improving!
Michael Redd- solid young 2 guard, good offensive game but I don't think he will get a super star contract because he isn't one!
Charles Oakley- Could be useful for a playoff team to bang down low, and can still hit a open shot.
Popeye Jones- better than MJ for making him look good.
(Washed up, don't even waste the time:
Jimmy Jackson- Can't do anything on Atlanta?
Mitch Richmond- waste of time, should not get signed.
Chris Gatling- wonder why he has never had a steady team for 2 years ever it seems like, has to be something wrong.
Travis Best- small, benched by Tinsley, bench by Crawford and? I think he is nothing like he was when Indiana went to the Finals
Walt Williams- Could be a vet leader, but can't really do much more

Chris Gatling...
By the way, the list was reduced from 39 to 38, since Chris Gatling is going to be playing in MOSCOW next season.

I've updated the list again, since Shawn Kemp signed with Orlando, Erick Strickland signed with Indiana, and Travis Best signed with Miami.
Does anyone happen to know the terms of these contracts? All are one year deals, correct? Are they all for the league minimum or what, does anybody know?
