Just thinking today, who the hell came up with the idea for the floor cam? That has to be one of the dumbest ideas I have ever seen. I wonder how much money the NBA put into that idea.

Who wants to see shots up a bunch of guy's shorts?

I agree. Just because I like a player doesn't mean I want to see his genitals. Now, if they invented a floor cam for cheerleaders, that is fine by me.

Literally every single time they show a floor cam shot, this is the exact sentence to come out of my mom's mouth. I think it's just a terrible idea, and honestly I'm shocked it hasn't been canned by now.

I seriously dont know who comes up with these stupid ideas. The floor cam provides you absolutely no perspective on the play. I am trying to imagine how the conversation went when the idea was originally pitched, but I think I might need to be drunk to be able to do it.

What i'd like to see is an eye-level side cam. Have it parallel with rim level. So for a play like last night where Kobe launches himself into the air and throws it down, you can get a good perspective on how high he got off the floor and how he get up over people. That would be a good idea. That, and the cheerleader cam.

Good ideas, whenever they show those replays from the floor or from above, it pisses me off because I can't get a spatial sense of what happened... just a straight-on side cam would be best.

And why not just a camera in the cheerleader's dressing rooms? Or just release it on video.

I heard on PTI that ABC retired boob cam. It was back in force for today's Sacramento/Minnesota game. Sad really.

Honestly. This "perspective" adds nothing to your understanding or appreciation of the play. It's just looking at a bunch of guys shoes and up their shorts. Whoever is responsible for it still being used should have been fired by now.

There is a very good reason for the floor cam.

The players today play like whiney *****es without balls.

Failing to understand the difference between the literal and figurative meaning of the phrase, the floor cam is simply NBA's way of attempting to prove to us that players indeed do have balls.
