Am I saying that Scottie Pippen was a better basketball player than Michael Jordan? By no means. However, I would venture to say that Scottie Pippen was a greater basketball player than Jordan. Yes, Michael was the best scorer and a good leader, but the definition of true greatness is making your teammates better. It was Pippen who set the screen, got the rebound, and made the perfect pass.

That's an interesting view of things...

So I guess neither Jordan nor Pippen belongs on their positional top-10 lists? Because neither won a ring with the other?
This is my list:
1. Larry Bird
2. Scottie Pippen
3. Julius Erving
4. Elgin Baylor
5. Rick Barry
6. John Havlicek
7. Tracy McGrady
8. Dominique Wilkins
9. Bernard King
10. James Worthy
McGrady doesn't have the career accomplishments of the guys below him, due to age, but he has more talent, in my opinion, and impacts the game in more ways.

Re: Top 10 SF's ever
Baylor should be number 2. No SF has any business getting 17 boards a game like he did.

T-Mac over James Worthy?
Why, Minstrel, why do you have the need to be so cruel?

Re: Top 10 SF's ever
pippen was great with jordan but he coulda easily became a 30 PPG 10 rebs 10 assists without em. and for the person who said pippen was not one of the top SF, u probably saw the late scottie pippen, pippen was a shooter and a defender. most shooters go way out late in their careers. its easier to make high % shots then have to make actually shots when ur pushin 40.
