What matters is that any time you put in any of those perimeter guys, you're pulling one of your best offensive players. Frazier, Havlicek and, to a lesser extent, Moncrief are fine on offense, but they are major downgrades from any of Magic, Bird or West. You have to replace a great offensive player with a significantly worse offensive player to ramp up your defense.

kflo does not. His starting lineup is already balanced with great offense and defense. He has the horses to pressure and harrass (not stop entirely) your best offensive players and with the same lineup have a great offense.

You can't do both things to kflo's lineup with your starting five. You can maintain a great offense, but not effectively pressure the perimeter or the passing lanes. All you can rely on is defense in the middle...but your big men's team defense is going to be greatly diminished considering they have to play man defense against amazing offensive players like Shaq and Hakeem. Wilt and Russell aren't nearly as likely to come over to challenge a slash by Jordan, Robertson or Pippen if it means leaving their man wide open for a pass and slam dunk.

Not only can kflo's team play great man defense on the perimeter and inside, they can even leave Russell at times to play team defense.

Magic and Bird are an awesome tandem, but your team just doesn't have the simultaneous offensive and defensive chops to beat kflo's team. Either you have to sacrifice offense for defense or sacrifice defense for offense. kflo's team can do both at a supremely high level at the same time.

No lineup of legends is going to be "stopped." But kflo's superior defenders will limit your legends more than your defenders will limit his legends. That means kflo's team scores more points and, therefore, wins. Barring bad luck.
