the Bulls 72-10 season.

We all know they were a great team...but can anyone explain why they lost those 10 games they lost? I am curious as to how they were beaten those games. Details needed

Re: the Bulls 72-10 season.
you're not going to come out and play your best every game. There are times when you have off-nights and no shots are falling. That Bulls team even lost to the Raptors who were an expansion team at the time.

Re: the Bulls 72-10 season.
@ORL 88-94
@SEA 92-97
@IND 97-103
@DEN 99-105
@PHO 96-106
@MIA 104-113
@NYK 72-104
@TOR 108-109
CHH 97-98
IND 99-100
Last three games they lost by 1 point. The rest look like they were close games. Only one blowout, vs. NYK. In that game MJ went 12-26 for 32 pts, but the rest of the Bulls shot 16 for 50. OUCH!

8 of 10 on the road as well. Some nights, especially on the road, it's just hard to come in and outplay the home team, who is undoubtedly hyped to play the best team of all-time.
I also wonder how many of those were back ends of back to backs.

It should be 74-8 if they were able to win games deciding on 1 points or less. It goes either way.

The loss to Denver was interesting. They fell behind by 30 to Denver, came back to take a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter and then lost.
That game really gave me the sense that they had lost interest in the season and were waiting for the playoffs.

Re: the Bulls 72-10 season.
If I remember correctly they lost like 2 out of the last 4.
And the first loss to Orlando was without Pippen, but the Magic didn't have Shaq.
Also they lost two games in a row to Den and Phoenix after starting something like 41-3 and people made it a huge deal, lol. Like when the Lakers won 67 under Phil and lost 6 out 9 around the all-star break and the final two of the regular season.
Mighty Mouse always cooked them when he was in Toronto, I think they lost to the Raptors the next season as well.
Can't believe it was ten years ago, god I feel old. Can't believe I remember all that as well.

Re: the Bulls 72-10 season.
8 of those 10 losses came against teams with very good centers or power forwards (the worst being Rik Smits). The next year, 9 of their 13 losses came against such teams.

I feel you on that man. I remember that whole season vividly. As well as the 2 following seasons. Can't believe that was a decade ago..when the AJ XI came out with the patent leather...and the Bulls were kicking ***. Good times.
