Lafeyette Lever.... played for the mavs (edit due to idiocy) and was one hell of a scorer in Tecmo Basketball for the original Nintendo... that's the extent of my knowledge.

Really good guy back in the 80s. Ratings rock in sim leagues.

Re: Who's Fat Lever?
One of the most versatile and complete players in the 80s but played for mediocre teams. Probably the best rebounding point guard of his era too, along with Magic

Wow, look at those stats. This guy was nearly a triple double every night! He was the Jason Kidd of the 1980's!! Almost the exact same stats as JKidd.

Dang, I forgot all about that guy! I love going through my old basketball cards and seeing bunch of players who I haven't thought about for about 10 or more years.

Re: Who's Fat Lever?
I don't remember him playing for the Timberwolves. They started with Pooh Richardson as their point guard. Lever starred for the Nuggets in the '80s and early '90s. He went to Denver from Portland in the Kiki Vandeweghe trade, when Portland brass thought a dude named Darnell Valentine was their future at point guard.
At his best, yes, Fat was an awesome triple double machine. He wasn't the playmaking wizard Kidd has been, but in my opinion he was the best true point guard ever to wear a Nuggets jersey (at least in the NBA era). He also was a better shooter than Kidd, but not as studly a defender. Lever was a crucial part of the Nuggets' playoff runs in the mid-80s, playing alongside Alex English, Calvin Natt, and Wayne Cooper.

He finished his career in Dallas, basically as a combo guard because of his rebounding.
