Ok, that's what I thought you were saying. Well I will simply say that I strongly disagree with you, and I think Hakeem was Shaq's superior on the offensive end and especially the defensive end.

Impact on the game? Most freethrows made in NBA Finals history is not an impact on the game?

Exactly..
They arent the same team defencively imo 03-04 they only allowed 84.3ppg In 05-06 they allowed 88.5.

Re: 05-06 Miami Heat worst champions since?

There is really no comparing a prime Hakeem to Dwyane Wade of this year. Wade has been spectacular, but a prime Hakeem is just out of the league of everyone in today's game. Only Tim Duncan of 2002-2005 and Shaquille O'Neal of 1999-2002 really compare impact wise.

Re: 05-06 Miami Heat worst champions since?

the heat team looked beatable, but they didnt face an elimination game in any series this playoffs

people could say teams shot bad, missed open shots, choked, but it also cant be denied the Heat came to get it done in the playoffs. They looked so much better than in the regular season, and just kept winning games. 4 in a row vs. Jersey, 3 of 4 vs. Detroit, 4 in a row vs Dallas. So 7 of 8 at points series vs. 2 of the top 3 record teams in the league.

as for champs, I think Wade/Shaq/Riley and the rest of the heat are very formidable. They are definately not the Kobe/Shaq lakers, but I think they are close to the Spurs and Detroit recent championship teams

Wade accomplished this in two consecutive series in the 2005 playoffs.
2. Joined Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson, and Allen Iverson as the only players ever to record games of 40+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 15+ assists in the same playoff season in 2005.
3. Holds the record for being the only player in NBA history to ever average at least 30 points on 69.5 field goal percentage for four consecutive NBA playoff series games (5/23/06-5/29/06). The last record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 63%. Wade accomplished it with less than 20 field goal attempts per game
4. Fifth player in NBA history with at least 30 points, 15 assists and 5 rebounds in a playoff game (5/10/05 vs. WAS). The others are Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Walt Frazier and Oscar Robertson.
5. One of four players in NBA history to have at least 30 points and 12 assists in three consecutive games (November 24-27, 2006). The others are Oscar Robertson, Nate Archibald, and Kevin Johnson. [5]

Re: 05-06 Miami Heat worst champions since?

I cant see the three Spurs championship teams losing to the Heat. They have too many weapons were too good.

The 2004 Pistons would be a good series with the Heat because essentially the same team beat the Heat last year but lost this year. However, the Pistons were actually playing really good basketball in 2004 which they werent doing this year. I would wager they would beat these Heat in 6 or 7.

The Lakers three peat teams would beat these Heat at least in 5 or 6. A WAY better Shaq and a Kobe that is on par with Wade plus better role players. Basically these Heat are a poor man's three peat Lakers.

All of those 6 Bulls teams would eat the Heat alive. No one could beat them. For instance, a Magic team in 1996 with a MUCH better Shaq and a Penny Hardaway that was only slightly lesser than Wade as well as some solid role players like Horace Grant and Dennis Scott got their asses swept by the Bulls. Theres no way Wade would be all that good with MJ, Pippen, and Rodman defending him. Obviously the first three peat didnt have Rodman but just replace his name with Horace Grant. I dont think anyone will argue that these Heat would beat the Bulls.

The Rockets would be a good series with these Heat. The 1994 team was basically just Hakeem and a bunch of role players. But they were one of the best collections of role players ever and the team won 59 games that year so they werent inferior. Wade would probably go off against the Rockets but Hakeem could allow them to do single coverage on this old Shaq which would make all the role players on the Heat have less open shots. I would say Rockets in 6 or 7. The 1995 Rockets had Drexler too and beat a whole bunch of amazing teams. I dont see them losing to the Heat.

The Bad Boy Pistons were damn impressive as a team. If they could contain Jordan, they could contain Wade easily. This crappy Shaq wouldnt be all that much trouble to a team that easily contained Patrick Ewing, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale, Moses Malone, and Kareem. They would beat the Heat in 5 or 6.

Every single Lakers championship team of the 80s would beat these Heat. Michael Cooper could contain Wade enough and Kareem could contain Shaq enough. The Heat have a crappy transition defense, theres no way they could beat the best running team of all time.

The Celtic championship teams of the 80s would beat the Heat too. Dennis Johnson could guard Wade reasonably well and Parish/McHale could deal with Shaq. On the other hand they couldnt guard McHale or Bird. Its hard to quantify because both teams are half court teams, but the Celtics were just an amazing half court offense/defense. No way would the Heat win, even in 1981 when they didnt have DJ to guard Wade (although I can see that one going 6 or 7).

The 1983 76ers would just totally dominate the hell outta the Heat. Bobby Jones would shut down Wade and Moses would do a good job on Shaq. The Lakers couldnt even get one single game on these guys, neither would the Heat.

I think theyd be close with a lot of the teams of the 70s and could probably beat some of them.

Re: 05-06 Miami Heat worst champions since?

yeah the spurs were by far the most weaker championship team they won in 1999 only because of the NBA wanting TD to win a champ.

Spurs played the Nets in the Finals for GS!!

worst playoff team:
SA
Houston(Hakeem got lucky because Jordan decided to go on vacation they were unworthy they never did faced the Bulls)

Totally ignorant to say that. Remember the 95 finals? 4-0 for Rockets. Hakeem was way too quick for a young Shaq, let alone a much heavier version.

were was Hakeem when he was young oh yeah i forgot watching the NBA Finals from his home.

Hakeem won when he was like 34 and only because of Jordan taking a vacation. A Prime Shaq was unstoppable as he could scored throughanyone and very good passer.
Shaq in 2000>>Hakeem in 95
