Dude, you don't make much sense. Nobody knows if all those teams would beat "this Heat team". It is speculation. I wouldn't count this team out.

And for the record, there is no way in Hades Penny Hardaway was even close to what Wade is this year. That maybe the dumbest thing I have heard yet on this forum.
Are you sure about that? Penny was All NBA first team the year the Bulls swept them. What is Wade? Oh yeah. 2nd team.

Re: 05-06 Miami Heat worst champions since?

Does anyone think last years Heat team was better than this years? Shaquille O'Neal was a year younger, Wade was as electric as he is now, and the supporting cast was as good or slightly inferior if anything.

I think the Spurs, Pistons, Heat and Suns of last year would have all been able to win the title this year. All four were worse this year though, but the Heat took the smallest dip.

Yeah I still think the Heat were better last year. Shaq was better. Wade was probably slightly less good but the combination of Shaq and Wade last year was overall better than this year. The role players were better last year.

I agree that those four teams couldve won it this year. I disagree though that the Spurs got worse this year. I dont think they took a dip. I think they just had the misfortune of going against a team they matched up very badly with this year.

I think it depends on which team exactly you are looking at. The 2005 Heat with a healthy Wade and Shaq would have made the Finals because they were a better team than the Pistons. The 2006 Heat featuring a quad contused Shaq and a rib muscle strained Wade may not have gotten past the Pistons.

When both teams were at full health, I would give a slight edge to the 2006 version because I think the supporting cast was a bit better. Shaq's decline is about offset by Wade's improvement.

I don't. Last year's team didn't have any offensive power (this is why Riley traded for Willimas and Walker) and played minimal defense (this is why Riley traded for Posey and became the coach). Last years team was flawed, as they had no one outside of Wade who could create by themselves and the playes didn't respect the coach. If Wade or Shaq were injured the team would have problems. Williams and Walker provided a threat at any time allowing Wade to even be a better player. Also, Wade was as electric, but he wasn't as consistently dominant and to say he last year he was the player he is this year is going overboard.

I just think last years team had better chemistry throughout the year. I think this year's team is unquestionably more talented, but it took them a very long time to figure out how to play together. They hit their stride at the right time, and they made the Mavs (whom I thought were the best team in the league this year) looks like amateurs at times during the finals. This team had a lot of potential, and we only got to see it fulfilled for a short stretch near the end of their playoff run.

Also '94 & '95 wasn't even Dream's best yrs. He just happened to have the best supporting cast he's had in those 2 yrs. Houston never really had that impressive of a regular season but they stepped it up huge in the playoffs much like the Heat did. I'd take a prime Hakeem over Shaq b/c he was elite on both ends.
