I don't know if its been posted before. If so then deal with it
Just a trip down memory lane. It was aired when NBC aired its last game few years back...
Oh and the play by Stockton around the 2:32 mark still hurts to this day...
But a wonderful trip down memory lane none the less
One of the greatest moments in NBA history right here...
and also just found this as well... 96 finals preview
and damn, the nba on the nbc was so damn good.. does anyone know when the contract with abc expires? i think it was like 11 years or something, wasn't it? jeez, pure crap..
watch at the :45 second mark.... they would have called that a foul on the first block nowadays
refs make the game soft.... i miss the physical part, you cant even hand check a player.... you cant body someone in the paint, NBA used to be favorite but NFL has surpassed it by miles

Handchecking should be taken off, but physical interior defense should not. It's far more spectacular to see LBJ being forced to put up a shot where his body is parallel to the ground, looks dissorted because of good, hard interior defense, rather than LBJ staying upright and doing pointless moves because no one's on him.
Anybody remember the old adds, and the song before the game? How about the Paxson clip they'd keep replaying, "that shot" when he was with the Bulls?

Yeah now that would be a foul instantly. As much as it sucks, I don't think we'll ever see that kind of physical ball anymore...
