Re: Magic or Jordan? Which had more impact on there own team?
This should be a topic about two very contrasting, but highly successful styles. Instead, it's a hate-fest with two of the greatest, most well-decorated players of any generation. Go figure.

Apparently do not attack other posters; this has nothing to do with the 88 Lakers-Pistons Finals, he was talking about the 91 Bulls-Pistons ECF.

No, you just have to know your NBA history. Chamberlain and Russell? Firstly, did you ever see Wilt play? No. Secondly, to not even mention Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the discussion, who has just as many MVPs, titles, and many more All NBA 1st teams than Jordan, is quite frankly a gross oversight. Thirdly, you can make a very good case for Magic as GOAT; namely his 3 MVPs, Finals MVPs, statistics, impact on his teammates, and certainly his overall team success (5 titles, 9 NBA Finals in 12 years).

no , my reading is fine. if you read all the posts paulo and i have written, you would see that he believes that the lakers loss to the bulls mainly because because of james worthy being injured and not because they (the bulls) were the better team. he also says that the pistons were swept by the bulls because they were too old and i think dumars had an injured foot. i replied that if thats his belief then he also should question the lakers beating the pistons in 88 because isaih thomas had a terrible ankle sprain. and he overlooks this. all i want is to see is some consistency. he refuses to reply so i suspect that he knows this to be true but because he is a laker fan does not want to discuss it, because it would make his team look bad.

Paulo's last post in this thread: "AGAIN, and all together now: THE BULLS NEVER WON AGAINST A PRIME PISTONS SQUAD!!!!".
Any questions?

Your comparison to another series is irrelavent and deflects from the main topic at hand.

I have Abdul-Jabbar 4th, behind Jordan, Chamberlain, and Russell. I guess Oscar Robertson would be 5th and Magic 6th, with Bird 7th, right behind Magic, it's close between those two.

I'd take Kobe over both of them.
