IMHO, Jordan's company assured him of the rings. Eventhough, obviously, he was the major part of that (or those) Bulls teams...
that dilluted talent theory is such a farce and let me explain to you why, in the 80s the ratio of nba players to regular people in the us is closer than the ratio in the 90s. throw in the players overseas taking slots that would have gone to us born ballplayers and it becomes more difficult to make it in the nba in the 90s than the 80s. so if its tougher to make it in the 90s the talent cant be diluted.the nba was drawing talent from more places than just the us in the 90s. and they werent taking scrubs either, there were many good nba players playing that were european. not to mention the 90s nba had the greatest collection of talent by way of dominant big men. i would take the 90s big men over any other decade.

You didn't.

In the 80's, you had to have a loaded team to win it all. Not only the srarting 5 but you had to have a good bench. Sixers, Celtics, Lakers and Pistons are examples.

the 90's cahnged all that. who were the biggest threat to the Bulls? the Knicks. And pay good attention to the Knicks roster who challenged the Bulls: are they anyway near the Celtics and Pistons they couldn't beat?

Or did the freaking Cleveland Cavaliers provide any challenge? Or the Atlanta Hawks?

After the great Celtics and Pistons teams faded into obscurity, the East was a cake-walk for the bulls.

Re: Magic or Jordan? Which had more impact on there own team?

It's really amazing how Magic was able to keep the Lakers at or near the top in offensive efficiency for his entire career, even after Kareem retired. They were ranked 1st six times (ranked 1st in '89-90 without Kareem) and 2nd four times, then fell to 13th the year after Magic retired.

As for the Bulls, four of their championship teams were ranked 1st offensively, and fell to 15th in '94 without MJ (that '94 Bulls team is really overrated). With MJ's return in '95 they were 9th, and with MJ back for a full season they ranked 1st in '96 (and '97).

youll have to bare with me paulo because im not very computer literate so i dont know how to list things. these are the bench players for the best teams in the 80s 1. 87 lakers cooper 11 pts thompson 10 rambis 6 2. 86 celtics wedmN 8 PTS WALTON 8 SITCHING 7 3.89 pistons v. johnson 14 rodman 9 edwards 7 salley 7 4. 83 sixers jones 9 johnson 7 edwards 7 all of those championship were championship teams al went about three deep off the bench. now, im gonna give yoy the bench for the teams in 97 ONE YEAR and you tell me theres a difference. utah carr 7 anderson 6 eisly 5 new yorkchilds 9 williams 6 ward 5 miami brown 10 austin 10 askins 5 danilovic 11. adjust for pace and theres really no difference. all went about three deep.
