he was playing in a high pace team, whodidn't really win that much during his prime.
To be remembered in 15 years for what you do in 4 years, you need to really stand out in that time.
FL was a stat freak, but a top5 PG at best, in his prime: not enough.

Not enough for what? Hall of FAme? of course not, neither is any other 4 year prime player except Bill Walton. Enough to be considered a terrific player, sure. He was more than a stat freak, he was an excellent defensive player and he led some pretty shaky teams to decent records (his best teammate during his prime was the often injured Calvin Natt, otherwise not much talent with him). Would I put him in the top 10 PGs all-time? No, he wasn't good enough for long enough. But, he may be around 15-25 and he was a hell of a lot of fun to watch.
