Re: Reggie Miller is not a first ballot Hall of Famer
based upon recent inductions he probably doesn't get in,at least not for awhile. He's a very good player, but very good players haven't been making the cut in the last decade or so.Dumars is an anomaly. The only thing about him that bodes well for Reggie is that Dumars probably got a lot of votes because he was extremely well liked and Reggie isn't much less popular.

This is correct. It's only natural to have your numbers decline over so many years. Reggie Miller belongs in the HOF.
Re: Reggie Miller is not a first ballot Hall of Famer
In my opinion, he's a Hall of Famer. Barely, but he is. To me, that also makes him a "first ballot" Hall of Famer if there's room for him in that class. There should be no difference between the two.

Come on, kflo, you know better than that. Although Reggie Miller provided humongous moments in the playoffs, he was never the kind of player to carry his team on his back. If you remember, there was a time when The Rifleman was the Playoff Monster on the team.
Reggie was a stone cold shooter. I give him that, for i loved his game. But his game was to catch and shoot. Yeah, he was damned clutch, but he was no scorer. Nor rebounder. Nor passer. Nor defender.
Reggie Miller is the greatest one-domentional player the league has ever seen.
Is it warrant of HOF status? IIRC, one-time all-nba 3rd team. In a gazillion seasons. Notyhing more to show than some incredible playoff moments. Is this the resumé for a HOF?
