Re: Top 5 Favorite Players - ALL TIME
Stockton/Malone
Michael Jordan
Pistol Pete
Deron Williams
I have really only been watching the NBA for about 10 years, but I've only had a broad knowledge of the NBA for the past 2, maybe. I've seen a lot of Pistol Pete film and that's why he's on my list. Other than that, since I was 11 when the Jazz were in the finals, my memories consisted of my team losing to the greatest of all-time... flu game and all.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Players - ALL TIME
1) Kobe
2) Robert Horry
3) Nick Van Exel
4) Shaq (even though I've hated on him a lot...can't forget what he did for the Lakers)
5) Michael Jordan
Reason Magic Johnson isn't on the list is because I never watched him live...only on tapes, etc. This is based off players I've seen play.

I like swingmen, I guess. Though my #6, #7 and #8 would be Rasheed Wallace, Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Players - ALL TIME
1) Hakeem Olajuwon, best big man of all time as far as I'm concerned.
2) Michael Jordan, best scorer of all time (excepting Wilt, who I like to exclude because of his era) and probably the biggest game-changer in the history of the league.
3) Larry Bird, crazy good offensive player, could do everything and anything he wanted. Probably the best clutch performer ever.
4) Manute Bol, mostly just because he was very fun to watch. I still don't know how he didn't just fall apart.
5) Vince Carter, irregardless of other problems with his game and his attitude, he's always been the most entertaining player in the league, in my opinion.

Re: Top 5 Favorite Players - ALL TIME
Wes Unseld, Buck Williams, Bobby Jones, Sidney Moncrief, Fats Lever . . . another day I may have another list but those are certainly up there. Special props to Kevin Porter, Muggsy Bogues, World B. Free, Mitch Kupchak (as a player only) and George Muresan too, though they weren't as special as the first five.
