Malone or Duncan?
No, not Karl, I'm talking about Moses. Which would you want on your team, Moses or Timmy? Explain why. Also, which do you think had a better prime and which had a better career? Obviously Duncan isn't finished yet, so take that into consideration.
Cheers.

Moses.
No doubt about it.

Re: Malone or Duncan?
Duncan easily. Better defender, slightly weaker rebounder, and a better offensive player.

I doubt it. Duncan isn't the dominating scorer or offensive rebounder Moses was, about even in defensive rebounding, but is better at pretty much every other facet of the game. Help defense, individual defense, passing out of the post, blocking out, getting up and down court, intelligent play, leadership. I loved Moses but Duncan is just a more intelligent, versatile, and fundamentally sound player

The same can be said when comparing Duncan to Shaquille O'Neal.
IMHO, Moses was a much more dominant player than Duncan. That gives him the edge over Duncan. That's the same criteria i follow when picking a prime David Robinson against a prime Duncan.

Re: Malone or Duncan?
Personally I agree with Paulo (the world must be ending!) I think Moses is the superior player, and often over looked when compared to other greats.

Re: Malone or Duncan?
The difference between Moses and Shaq is that (1)SHaq is a much more efficient scorer than Moses or Duncan for that matter, that makes his scoring dominance much more important. Duncan was more efficient than Moses and both were main threat go-to guys so Moses's extra volume in his peak years is still a big edge but nowhere near the edge Shaq holds.
Second, Shaq is a terrific post passer (as is Duncan). Moses was a below average post passer who basically would go up 1 on 3. Admittedly with his strength and hands, he got a foul called frequently during his peak but this weakness got more and more obvious later in his career.
Third, Shaq is an intelligent player with good offensive and defensive court vision. Moses was a terrific athlete like Shaq but didn't have the court intelligence that Shaq and Duncan even more so do. Therefore Moses was not a good help/team defender like the other two.
Shaq is better than Duncan, probably one of the top 5-10 players all-time. Moses was a great player but more in the 10-20 range and a little bit below Duncan.

Re: Malone or Duncan?
Moses was like an 80's Shaq. Only he actualy worked hard.
Moses is my choice.
