By the way, here's the puny/scrawny starting line that a 7'1" 250-275lbs Wilt faced when he scored the 100:
C 6'10 205lbs
F 6'6 225 "Willie the WHALE" 225 = whale???
F 6'5" 200
G 6'4 195
G 6'2" 175
I'm not saying his 100 is anything to sniff at, but to say it's such a great feat in comparison to Kobe's 81 when you consider the circumstantial evidence and the fact that the game wasn't televised, it's hard to be very impressed by it.

Yea because Kobe was matching up against the dream team in the Toronto Raptors at the time of his 81 point game? Give me a break If a player scored 100 today no matter who it's against people would be saying it's the best game they've ever seen. That dude was right, most people here don't know the NBA existed before they started watching it. Just check out the post above mine, AI crossing over Jordan is on of the most shocking moments in NBA history?

I would also have to say the U.S. getting totally robbed of the Gold medal by the Russians in the Olympics was pretty "holy ****."
Not that I was around to witness it, but from what I have read and the clips I have seen.

The deaths of Len Bias, Dražen Petrović and Reggie Lewis have to be at the top, with Magic's announcement following after.

Ron Artest takes on Detroit and almost beats up the entire city.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain....

So if Yao Ming were to drop 100 on the Bulls you wouldn't be impressed? He's a good 7 inches taller than anyone in our lineup...
Wilt wasn't just a 7 footer who got by on height.... the guy was a freak... he ran the 100 in 10.9 seconds... he was the Big 8 high jump champion three years in a row... nobody around here seems to give the guy his due respect...

Re: What is the biggest "Holy ####!" moment in NBA history?
I'm just saying I'm more impressed with Kobe's 81 that Wilt's 100, and not that I'm wholly unimpressed with the 100. 81 points is more of an aberration from 35ppg than 100 is from 50ppg.
