Great new Jordan videos from the youtube user "joleroke." So now you have him, hoopsencyclopedia, and a few others who regularly put up classic Jordan stuff. Here's the link to his video page. Seriously, watch any of those videos and you'll be amazed -- he basically compiles many of Jordan's made baskets during each playoff series.

The pre-retirement stuff ('91-'93) is especially awesome, as are the Orlando/Charlotte/Random videos, but really every video deserves to be watched by anyone who didn't get to see prime Jordan. Tons of rare footage on here. The most impressive thing to note (aside from the skill, creativity, and peerless athleticism) is how definitive all his movements are and how quickly he reads defenses (where doubles/traps are coming from, how the weight/momentum of the defenders are shifted, who's out of position and how best to attack them etc.). Just amazing. That ability, to that degree, is something I've never seen from another player. His court awareness was off the charts.

It has Jordan dunking on Ewing after a mad scramble for the basketball, and then Jordan gets punched in the face by the X-Man Xavier McDaniel for an and one. A freaking hit to the skull like that would mean an automatic flagrant, and ejection from the game now a days. However the point is the beast Jordan was, how easy we forget how MJ was the best on defense/offense in most cases against anybody in the game.

Michael Jordan is the best player I have ever seen... and I hated the bulls...

I still think people making comparisons are missing the intangibles that Jordan brings and his uncanny abilities. They are more atheletic and stronger today... but Jordan has more talent and abilities... still..

There's still not a player in the game today who is more athletic overall than prime Jordan was (taking hops, speed, quickness/explosiveness, agility, body control/coordination, and reflexes into consideration). Prime Carter comes closest, but still no.
