Id go with

1. Magic Johnson - Led the Lakers to 5 titles in the 80s and won 3 MVP awards in the regular season and 3 in the Finals.

2.Isiah Thomas - Led the Pistons to two NBA titles in 1989 and 1990

3.Jason Kidd- Led the Nets to two Finals in 2002 and 2003.

4. John Stockton - Led the Jazz to multiple 50 win seasons and two trips to the Finals.

5. Kevin Johnson - Very Underated. Was the leader of the Suns before Barkley got there. Led the Suns to a upset over the Lakers in 1990 and was part of the 1993 team that got to the Finals vs the Bulls.

6.Steve Nash - 2-time MVP. Led the Mavericks and Suns to multiple 55 to 60 win seasons.

7.Gary Payton

8.Dennis Johnson

9 Tim Hardaway

10 Mark Price

What about Oscar, West, Payton and Cousy? I really like Kevin Johnson when he was playing, but surely he's not #5 of all-time. Don't know about Mark Price either.

I like the inclusion of Tim Hardaway.

Edit: should clarify that these are based on PG skills, not overall player rankings. I'd be insane to rank West so low.

I made some changes, but i still got KJ at 5. Very Underated in my opinion.

I think KJ had more impact on a game then Stockston did. John racked up a lot of assist,but if i was building a team and had to choose,im going with Kevin Johnson at the point.

I guess when you have a legitimate argument as the greatest basketball player of all time it's easy to be overlooked.The guy only had 9887 assists(4th all time) 9.51 assists per game( 3rd all time) 26710 points(8th all time 1st among point guards)25.68 points per game(9th all time 1st among point guards) 7804 rebounds(58th all time 1st among point guards).Hell anyone could completely overlook a guy like that.I mean it's not hard to find a point guard who averages 25.7 points,9.5 assists and 7.1 rebounds over a 14 year career.Guys like that are a dime a dozen.Dennis Johnson would abuse the guy.
