If the Knicks win the title this year... or, hell, become a contender and win it next year... Is the 03 top 5 the greatest of all time, all told? LeBron would have a title, as would Wade with his two. Darko would have a title as a nonentity, but a title all the same... and Melo would have his. And for the most part they'd still be in their 20s... Best top 5 of all time as a group? Without calling any one grouping based on one man's performance.

hahaha yeah '03 was a sick draft class, but I think they collectively have a long way to go to overshadow the 1996 or '84 classes though.

Not the class, the top 5 alone. `96 didn't have a Darko - but Wade+Bosh+LeBron+Melo is more talented than that top 5. More titles already as well. `84 I didn't realize Chuck was the 5th pick, so yeah - that class presently stands alone. LeBron/Wade/Bosh pulling in 2 more apiece, and 1 for Melo - plus Darko having a ring for comedic effect - would they as a group outrank that one? Jordan's 6+Hakeem's 2 and Chuck's talent? ... Okay, lots of if's. :P Probably not going to happen. But, eh, thats the name of the game. What if? What DO they need to do?

Barkley was the man getting the Suns to the FINALS and a constant ALL NBA player. And was a MVP.

Wade and Anthony are most likely never going to be MVPs of the league. And Wade is regressing faster than Barkley ever did.

As were Hakeem and Jordan.
And Sam Perkins was pretty damn good.

Jordan > James
Hakeem > Anthony
Barkley > Wade
Perkins < Bosh
Bowie < Milicic (but not by much)

But with a lot of bigs. 84 would struggle in a match up. But talent wise I would go with 84.

in retrospect wouldnt you put Stockton as part of the top 5 for that draft class?

so it would be a natural

Stockton/Fleming/Humphries
Jordan/Robertson
Barkley/Kersey
Thorpe/Perkins/Willis
Hakeem/Cage/Bowie
