mullin was one of the best pure shooters ever, but he didn't have the greatest overall range. he wasn't that great a 3 point shooter. he broke 100 3's made in a season once in his career. 38% lifetime, pretty good - just wasn't one of the best ever. at least not at that distance. put him inside the line, and i'd probably put him up there with anyone.

the guys i'd probably put at the top were:
bird
kerr
hodges
curry
ellis
price
miller
rice (arguably the best 3 point season ever - 207 made, 47% - 1997)

the guys with the deepest range were probably:
miller
c. person
majerle
scott

Steeve Kerr is just the best 3 pt shooter in terms of percentages... But he also came up with huge shots even at the end of his career (game 6 vs Mavs last year for exemple)

Larry Bird of course but there are also a few shooters that I must name:

petrovic, ellis, davis, price, hornacek, miller, scott, rice, person, majerle, mullin.

Currently playing in the nba:
miller, houston, redd, szczerbiak, nash,
wesley, person, allen, rice, barry²...

There was this guy named Reggie Miller, but ha hes nothing compared to the guys the idiot who started the post listed.

That was a tremendous season by Rice but I don't want to sound diminishing but I think in that year the 3 point line was still moved in. Can someone verify this??? Nevertheless, a tremendous season effort.

EDIT: It was still moved in that year from 23.9 to 22.

Bird and Reggie Miller lead the way.

Deciding who is the best 3 point shooter ever should involve who is clutch and who did it for years in the playoffs.

Others who qualify are Kerr, Dumars, Ainge, etc.
