You can not say that the Marbury-Kidd trade is completly lop sided yet. It looked that way this year, but the point of the trade was to build for the future and who knows what the future lies in the suns. And Marbury played very well for the Suns this year, The suns just had a lot of young talent, and no one else really contributed besides Marion. Also, Kidd had way more good players this year healthy than Marbury did. Who knows what marbury would have done with a healthy team in NJ. So for a couple of more years. You can not say whether this was lop sided or not.

Some Smaller Ones...

LA Clippers traded Antonio McDyess and PG Randy Woods to Denver for PF Rodney Rogers and SG Brent Barry

Milwaukee traded Johnny Newman, Joe Wolf and the rights to Danny Fortson to Denver for Ervin Johnson

Seattle traded Bobby Jackson to Denver for 2nd round pick James Cotton and a 1998 2nd round pick

Hawks traded Mookie Blaylock, and their first-round pick, the 21st overall, to the Warriors for their first pick, the 10th overall, guard Bimbo Coles and small forward Duane Ferrell- Warriors could have had their PG(Terry)

for a nets fan, this is a one-sided trade because not only did marbury not get the nets anywhere, but he also had a bad attitude. the nets and their fans just got so sick of players who had a bad attitude playing for the team (more ex. derrick coleman, kenny anderson, you get the point).

Kareem Abdul Jabbar for 3 or 4 unknown role players back in the 60's.

"That was totally one-sided. The Nets go to the Finals after winning 26 games, and the Suns go from a 50+ win team to the lottery. I think it's safe to say that Stephon Marbury is a cancer.
"

Please remember that during Marbury's stay w/ the Nets, he NEVER had a healthy team to work with. You are w/o a couple of your starters you'll obviously do worse.

Kidd had a fully healthy team w/ amazed me greatly, but he wouldn't be able to do much w/ what stephon had either(everyone injured all the time).

I don't think the suns did that bad, they'll be back.

I think the kobe/vlade, chris webber trade, the dirk trade have to be the worse in recent memory.

the Suns won 50+ and were a lottery team with Marbury. Face it. It's not about injuries, Marbury just stinks.

Actually Phoenix in getting rid of Kidd, Cliff, Rogers, and Delk has signaled that they are rebuilding. When you rebuild you end up in the lottery. Of course unless you are the Indiana Pacers.

The Kobe/Vlade deal for Charlotte actually worked out good for both teams. Charlotte had the 13th pick and they knew Kobe had no interest in playing for them. I find it amazing that a kid on the border of the lottery would demand to play in a big market and it shows how unprofessional Kobe was a the the time. Anyway, Charlotte drafted Kobe knowing they could deal him and they did for Vlade Divac. Divac played several good years in Charlotte and he is still a top 10 center in the league. Charlotte choose not the resign him (bad move). Overall, a center like Vlade is well worth the 13th pick. The real fools here were the 12 teams ahead of Charlotte who could have selected Kobe.

Also, Charlotte ripped off LA later. Glen Rice for Eddie Jones and Elden Campbell was a terrific trade for Charlotte and LA let Glen walk right after it. Jones went on to be an all star and to demand the maximum. Of course, Charlotte then ripped off Miami by sending Jones and Anthony Mason to Miami for Jamal Mashburn and PJ Brown. Mashburn has outplayed Jones since then, while Mason is in Milwaukee and PJ Brown is starting and playing good ball. Elden Campbell is also a top 10 center in the league.

That's your little history of Charlotte trades. Of course the Miami trade where we gave up Mourning for Glen Rice and some role players was horrible.

sure, but like i said before, the nets were happy to get rid of that bad attitude of marbury's. if kidd was pessimistic in jersey, they'd also do just as bad. optimism means alot to a team.

I've got some trades for you to ponder...lol

I think it was 1980, not sure, but here goes. Celtics Trade the draft rights to Joe barry Carrol(1st pick) and Ricky Brown(13th pick) for Robert Parrish and the draft rights to Kevin Mchale(3rd pick). The big 3 is born. The Warriors are doomed. Ouch.

How about Roy Boe selling the rights to Julius Erving for 3 million dollars? Not really a trade, but wow. Eugene Dixon's legacy was made with that deal.

How about the St. Louis Hawks trading Bill Russell to Boston for Ed Macauley and Cliff Hagan in 1956. LOL! Cliff "the stiff" Hagan!

How about the this one: Warriors trade Wilt Chamberlain to 76ers for Paul Neumann, Connie Dierking, Lee Shaffer and cash in 1965. That's my Warriors!

Bucks traded Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to Lakers for Elmore Smith, Junior Bridgeman, Brian Winters and Dave Meyers. Wintesr went on to become an interim NBA coach, Meyers a lawyer, and Junior Bridgemen the Bucks janitorial manager.

I can't remember how it went, but I know Moses Malone was traded during the ABA dispersal draft for a first round pick 2 years later. Not bad, but think about this: The next DAY he was then traded for 2 future first rounders. I bet the Blazers still shudder when they hear that one.
