I am loving the Grizzlies lineup. Too much for the Hornets to handle.

Re: NLD: Vancouver Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets

KG and Duncan are the better front court but West and Oscar are by far the better back court and edge Gervin

I hope I lose every game...Grizz have no depth, and a weak PG. But again, the more recent guys you have, the more wins you get.

So you're telling me Derrick Rose, an NBA MVP, is a weak point guard?

Go ahead and keep using the excuse that you're losing because all the other teams have more "recent" players but at the end of the day, you don't have as much talent as I do. Sure you have some big names and Jerry West-Big O is one helluva duo, but I don't think that's enough to stop KG-Duncan and all the scoring options they have around them.

Re: NLD: Vancouver Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets

Grizzlies perimeter defense is questionable and most of the bench is trash

Re: NLD: Vancouver Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets

My bench isn't the greatest, but Rondo, Bowen, and Laimbeer are all tough as nails and play very good defense. If anyones bench is trash, it's the Hornets. Cunningham is 6'6(good luck defending KG and Bosh), Tom Chambers is an undersized center as well and isn't exactly a shut down defender, and Gilbert Arenas is...well Gilbert Arenas. Other than Cousy(who has never played against anyone like Rose or Rondo before), I'm not impressed with the Hornets bench one bit.

you're right there are some positional issues with his bench - I would play the Kangaroo Kid at SF and Chambers at PF (they're natural positions) and alternate Thurmond/Mikan at the 5 as part of the bench rotations letting one rest while keeping the other on the floor

The Grizzlies frontcourt is better, but who's gonna stop West, Oscar and Gervin frorm scoring at will?

Re: NLD: Vancouver Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets

Rose, Miller, and Wilkins aren't ****ing pilons on defense. Also Rondo and Bowen will provide some great defense off the bench.

Rose is ok, Reggie was mediocre and Dominique? come on.... they're supposed to be guarding West, Robertson and Gervin

Derrick Rose starting on a "Legends" team is about as legit as Derrick Rose passing an ACT or SAT on his own.

Re: NLD: Vancouver Grizzlies vs. Charlotte Hornets

Lost in all this petty bickering is just how good a match-up this really is. If I were running the Hornets, I would play the Big O as my 3-man in a Lebron sort of role. Gervin is more of a natural 2 and West is maybe the best scoring point of all time. I would also switch Thurmond and Mikan. Big Nate is a better match-up on Timmy, and I think Oscar would give Nique some fits. I think if Cousy was basically out of the rotation and Chambers played only spot minutes, the Hornets would be the better team here.
