Re: NLD: Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Warriors
PG Steve Nash (35)/Maurice Cheeks (13) SG John Havlicek (40)/Latrell Sprewell (8) SF Bernard King (35)/Mark Aguirre (13) PF Dirk Nowitzki (35)/Maurice Lucas (13) C Hakeem Olajuwon (40)/Robert Parish (8) This is getting interesting, and the Bucks are a formidable oponent. Still: STARTING UNIT: My team: i'm sticking to the formula of having Nash control the tempo and the offense, having Hondo as the main permiter defensive stopper, and make that duo coordinate it's efforts in directing the offense to King and Hakeem. Dirk is my offensive wild-card, who will be counted upon to score from the perimeter or in the high post(McAdoo doesn't have the size nor the defensive accumen to stick with Dirk). The Bucks: Isiah, Pistol and Lebron all demand the ball to be effective. I don't think it's gonna work. And nor Zeke nor Pistol were able defenders, so Nash will bring havok. McAdoo won his MVp playing Center, but now he is playing PF... And Lanier was a good rebounder, but not much of an offensive force. BENCH: I have the best defenders (Cheeks, Sprewell and Mo) but English (even if he is playing out of position - not much range) and Carmelo will prove to be difficult to deal with. I think Mo and Chief are way above Spencer (6'8) and Willis in quality production. OVERALL: The Bucks are severely laking defensive players. Only Lebron James is a good defender (and way beyound guys like Hondo and Kareem - even Cheeks and Mo!) The Buck's guard tandem doesn't seem to work, either offensively or defensively. I would say i have the more balanced, defense-oriented team. My team: Steve Nash 2005-2006: 18.8ppg, 10.5apg, 4.2rpg, .512FG%, .4393P%, .931FT%, 23.3 PER – League MVP John Havlicek 1970-71: 28.9ppg, 9.0rpg, 7.5apg, 20,8 PER, All-Nba 1st team, All-D 2nd team; Bernard King 1984-1985: 32.9ppg, 5.8rpg, 3.7apg, .530FG%, 25,2 PER – All-Nba 1st team; Dirk Nowitzki 2005-2006: 26.6ppg, 9.0rpg, 2.8apg, .4063P%, 28,1 PER - All-Nba 1st team Hakeem Olajuwon 1992-1993: 26.1ppg, 13.0rpg, 3.5apg, 1.8spg, 4.2bpg, PER 27,3 – All-Nba 1st team, DPOY; Maurice Cheeks 1985-1986: 15.4ppg, 2.9rpg, 9.2apg, 2.5spg, PER 17,9 – All-D 1st team; Latrell Sprewell 1996-1997: 24.2ppg, 4.6rpg, 6.3apg, .3543P%, 19,7 PER Mark Aguirre 1983-1984: 29.5ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.5apg, .524FG%, 23.5 PER Maurice Lucas 1976-1977: 20.2ppg, 11.4rpg, 2.9apg, PER 18,3 Robert Parish 1980-1981: 18.9ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.8apg, 2.6bpg, .545FG%, PER 25,2

Re: NLD: Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Thomas wouldn't have too east with Nash, either.

Re: NLD: Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Quote:
But i'm confident having Hondo on the perimeter and Hakeem on the block will help me hide Nash a little on defense. In this match-up i though hard how to play Isiah Thomas, considering he was a heck of a offensive player (i even considered starting Mo Cheeks and make Hondo the distributer) and Nash can't check him on defense. But considering Isiah wasn't really a catch-and-shoot player, he hadn't great range in his shot and he will probably (playing with Pistol and Lebron) not have the ball in his hands a great amount of time, i risked keeping Nash on. Off course, in the offensive end, and like RWT said, Zeke can't do much to stop Nash from shooting. Like i said previously, Hondo will help direct the offense, so i expect Nash's amazing shooting touch will help Nash score on Zeke either in catch-and-shoot opportunities, coming off-screams or being spoonfed by Hondo or Hakeem (if double-teamed).

Re: NLD: Golden State Warriors vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The biggest flaw I see on the Bucks is the 5 guys (Isiah, Tony Parker, Lebron, Pistol, and Melo) who need the ball in their hands to be at their best. Warriors seem to fit each other better.
Also, who does Lebron guard? If you put him on Dirk, Bernard kills you. If you put him on Bernard, Dirk kills you.
