Re: EC Semifinals: (3) Orlando Magic vs. (2) Boston Celtics
Celtics in 6 or 7. Orlando has the worst perimeter play in the playoffs, and with Rondo playing the way he is, the Celtics have the best. Rondo just got off a 20,10,10,3 series, and both Pierce and Allen averaged 23 ppg. Dwight is obviously going to be tough, but Perkins will step up to the challenge. He usually plays him well because he's got the size, length, and strength.
Celtics have homecourt also.

Well both teams are banged up. The Magic backcourt is missing Lee (he should be back for this series though) and Nelson has been out since February. On the same token the Celtics front court is missing pieces in Powe and KG, while Perkins got hurt tonight.
If the Magic continue to work the post, like they have been doing the last 3 games and not just fall in love with the jumper, they should win this series in 5 or 6 games. If they fall in love with the jumper, they could very well lose this series, whether they are hot or not.
I still give the advantage to the Celtics because of HCA, but in reality that may mean nothing to Orlando since they are one of the best road teams in the entire league (won 2 on the road vs Philly and 27 games during the regular season).
Re: EC Semifinals: (3) Orlando Magic vs. (2) Boston Celtics
I just think any team with Pierce and Allen are going to make serious noise in the playoffs (when games are decided by buzzer-beaters) even if their defense isn't at its best, though they're still a solid defensive team without KG and their bench has some good bangers to keep the interior tough enough. Orlando more capable of ringing up 120 points but I'm going to say Boston won't let that happen.
Re: EC Semifinals: (3) Orlando Magic vs. (2) Boston Celtics
Lee is going to be a key: he's a tough defender and is a threat with the shot and drive. Orlando offense is very difficult to defend because with him they really have 5 legitimate threats who can go for 20+ points. W/o him Pietrus is a solid defender but he's not the same offensive threat and then Redick is not a good defender after that.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say Orlando in 6. Like someone said earlier if they cant beat this beat up Celtics team then who can they beat?

if rashard lewis starts working in the post like he did game 6 against the sixers, he could do a lot of damage. granted the celtics have glenn davis instead of young so they won't exactly be "bullied" but davis isn't the longest guy and rashard is 6'10. you know howard can't win the game alone if shard/rafer/hedo just keep jacking up jumpers.
Re: EC Semifinals: (3) Orlando Magic vs. (2) Boston Celtics
Also Orlando's perimeter play has been solid with Lee in the lineup, even better as far as the offense goes with out. Him and Alston were putting up 30 points a game combined in the 76ers series and both have been hitting their shots. Not sure how any one could get the notice they have sucked. I guess just ignorance?

Lol, a M.A.S.H. unit Celtic team versus a M.A.S.H. unit Magic team. It's not like Orlando isnt missing key pieces either. It should still be a good series though. I think it can go either way. Especially if Ray's hot shooting carries over, and the Magic shoot poorly, Boston could definitely win. Boston will most likely have to live outside, though. I think Dwight should lock down the paint for Orlando.
Go Magic

Boston are the heavy favorite, they have homecourt advantage plus a wealth of experience vs a completely unproven Magic team. Boston is the clutchest team in the NBA.
