Where did this JRich come from?
He's kind of sucked after having a relatively promising career in GS. He suddenly looks like a legit 3rd option on a championship calibre team. He's even scoring off the dribble which has never been his strong point.

Re: Where did this JRich come from?
Suns were ready to give him away or pawn him off in another trade. Started about late Jan (which before he played like complete ****). Instead of standing out on 3 pt line, he started moving without the ball - cutting, driving and even posting up mismatches. I disagree about scoring off the dribble. Always had that ability, just got lazy. He was ridiculous last couple months but playoffs he stepped it up another level.

Re: Where did this JRich come from?
And he stopped trying to be a showman and just played basketball. He doesn't try spectacular plays as much as he just finishes shots. He's kind of a bird-brain, but he's really toned it down.

Re: Where did this JRich come from?
No idea, I think he has been the best player for the Suns during the playoffs.
I always viewed him as a Jerry Stackhouse, an above average volume scorer. But he's playing the best basketball of his career right now in the playoffs.

Re: Where did this JRich come from?
His last year in Charlotte and first year in Phoenix he looked washed up every time I saw him. Certainly not playing as well as he did in GS

Re: Where did this JRich come from?
He fell in love with the 3pt shot. I am surprised he reversed his Antoine Walker-esque career path where he would be a ridiculously overpaid black hole. Instead, he realized that if he drove to the hoop, he won't be shooting contested treys as often because they'll fear the 2x slam dunk champion going in and embarrassing them.

Re: Where did this JRich come from?
I think its also because he just happened to catch fire at the right time, I mean honestly shooting 53 percent on a high amount of attempts from the 3 isnt gonna last, but yeah he is playing a lot better besides that too and him being more assertive has given him better looks from the 3.
