He might be, based on the fact he lives in Oklahoma. However he also loves LeBron James more. And considering I've been a fan of Durant since his rookie season in Seattle. Add to the fact that stern and the corporate ogres took advantage of a down franchise that was established for over forty plus years in Seattle, and basically ripped the Sonics out of the Pacific North West (YES do some research when these Oklahoma Guys bought the Sonics they promised to keep the Sonics in Seattle, they're liars). So I consider the Thunder, basically the Sonics playing in a different state and city now. And still feel a connection with them, especially when you consider that Collison, Durant, and Westbrook all played and were drafted by the Seattle Sonics.

I'm a bigger Durant fan than LeBron, hence the Durant avatar I've had for two years. I've been a Thunder fan since Clay brought them here. To have an NBA title in this city would be electric. Its still surreal, and maybe taken for granted. Will KD retire the best small market player ever? We'll see, but you don't see small markets like us hold on to his caliber player very often. The fact he wants to stay and represent OKC is awesome.

LeBron is one of my favorites though, which makes this a really fun series for me.

I'm rooting for OKC undoubtedly, but want to see both KD and LBJ have good showings.

Miami gambled on waiting until Bosh was back at 100%. It paid off. That will be HUGE this series.

I still don't get how anyone can be a player fan first. If you don't have a team to bleed with then you can never feel the true passion of and for the game.

Thunder in 6, it's a team game and they play the better ball. Heat take two games due to LBJ going off.

Re: NBA Finals: #2 Miami Heat (0) vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder (0)

If Chris Bosh is really healthy and can keep playing at full strength, I think he will be huge in this series. Who's going to guard him? If he's matched up with Perkins, he'll pull him away from the basket and face him up and Perkins is too slow to stop his drive. Ibaka bites on pump fakes and you have to guard Chris Bosh for the mid-range jumper. Ibaka won't be able to help off him every time James or Wade is in the lane, or Chris Bosh will get easy baskets all day.

Also, this is going to be the best defense the Thunder have faced so far. The Heat need to give maximum effort on defense as much as they can, because that's their biggest strength as a team. They're athletic, long, and disruptive.

The Thunder tend to be an isolation-heavy team most of the time, last series notwithstanding, and the Heat will attempt to force them into tough isolation shots. The Thunder did a great job of moving the ball against the Spurs, but I think the Heat have the potential to be more disruptive against that.

I know everyone is saying that the Thunder have this great size and great front line that will bother Wade and James, but Chris Bosh is really the X-factor there. Because his ability to space the floor could negate a lot of that. And, Chris Bosh won't have to guard KG in this series, either. I think Bosh is a big match-up advantage for the Heat.

I can't pick who's going to win this series but I think it's going to be closer than most people think. Also, I think the Heat are more experienced and hungrier right now. I'm not saying the Thunder are going to get "happy to be here" syndrome, but I think the Heat have a greater appreciation of this opportunity and I expect them to seize the moment.

Not everybody lives where there is a team. When you don't have a team of your own, you just have to find teams and players that you like. But, you're bound to be called a bandwagoner no matter what you do.

I can honestly say that if I didn't grow up with LA I would of picked a team I liked.... and stuck with that team for life. I'll watch shitty Laker blowout games over a close game of two great teams.

So I might of been called a bandwagoner initially, but eventually I would of been a true fan.

All that would be well and good if they actually featured Bosh.

The thunder are just smarter than the heat. Lebron again is amazing me. One thing I always ragged him on was his offensive versatility. Kobe, Pierce, Carmello can score from wherever on the floor. Lebron was only effective at the top of the key. In the boston series I would say a majority of his points came after catching the ball in the midrange with his back to the hoop. He seems to have figured it out, but I said the same thing after the Bulls series last year.

The thunder seem hungrier, and if they get championship experience this year I don't see anyone knocking them out of the west for the next 4 years or so. Barring injury/Harden leaving.

Well, if the Heat don't try to feature Bosh and exploit that match-up, then they don't deserve to win.

You can't be expected to be a die hard fan of another city's team. So if you live in a city that doesn't have a team, people trend to pick based on players. My alternative team is the pacers because reggie miller was a great villain and I was a fan of his shooting. It's funny how I despise his commentating as much as I enjoyed his playing. Had Indiana traded him, I probably would have moved allegiance to that new team. So, had I not become a Suns fan, I would probably be a fan of a particular player's team.
