Re: NBA Finals: #2 Miami Heat (0) vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder (0)
This should be good but I gotta go with OKC with the HCA.

Re: NBA Finals: #2 Miami Heat (0) vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder (0)
People also need to take into consideration how shitty it is to play in the finals without home court. How many teams in the past decade have won without it? From my count it's two, and the only reason those teams (Dallas and Detroit) won is because the opposing team's best player (LeBron and Kobe) had the worst series of their career.

Did you mean to say only 3 teams have lost with it?

He said Dallas and Detroit. I think he meant to say Dallas, Miami and Detroit.

Man, must suck being a old Sonics fan in Seattle. Just a few years ago you knew the team was on the rise, only for them to bolt out and make it to the Finals in a new city.
Now they know how Oilers fans felt after they moved to Tennessee. |

Re: NBA Finals: #2 Miami Heat (0) vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder (0)
I think Wade is extremely tired and LeBron is on his way. Bosh just isn't 100%. The only way they won important games is when Wade or LeBron took over and went nuts.
OKC is superior to any team they have played. They play at lightning speed and have sat around with their feet propped up. A well rested OKC vs. a tired out Heat team. I just don't see how the Heat can keep up unless OKC is rusty. And that would last only a game. |

Miami won without home court in 2006
Miami lost with home court in 2011. Miami does not have home court in 2012. Coinkydink? I hope not.

Re: NBA Finals: #2 Miami Heat (0) vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder (0)
And I know they're not 100%, but the Heat are 8-5 in the last two series, and they weren't exactly playing world beaters. No disrespect to Indiana or Boston (well, Indiana at least) but it's not like Miami has played a battle tested team that is actually healthy at this point.
Oh, and everyone that has been saying that the east is the dominant conference is a ****ing moron. I hear that shit every year and it's simply not true.

Pretty sure records don't matter in the playoffs, as long as you get to 4 wins first.

Re: NBA Finals: #2 Miami Heat (0) vs. #2 Oklahoma City Thunder (0)
I'm shocked anyone picked the Heat in 7. I can see that happening in the regular playoffs format, but in the Finals format I can't see Miami going back to Oklahoma and winning both games back to back like that. I am pretty sure that has never happened before in NBA history in the 2-3-2 format.
