The less we hear about Dan Gilbert, the better. He nearly set his team back (in agents eyes) years, with that horrible rant about LeBron. Thats something a 12 year old would do... Play to the fans and jump on LeBron's back like everyone else.

I understand the financial ramifications of LeBron leaving the Cavs, but you dont go and call out a player like that, especially when you have to deal with players and their agents on a daily basis.

This is why Cavs will never be able to sign a Free Agent star. They would be like "Oh well he screwed over Lebron with shitty teammates and then made a hateful letter towards him. Im not playing for that guy what if he does the same to me"

As long as Dan Gilbert is the owner...Cavs are pretty much screwed. Although i would love them to play Heat in the first round of playoffs and get swept.

He is an NBA owner who cried to his poppa David Stern about those big, bad Lakers trying to bully his poor little Cavs, simply by making a trade for Chris Paul. He got his wish and grinned himself to sleep.

Now that LeBron James pussified him...after "the letter" and after "the tweet" he still can't bring himself to congratulate the one guy that saved his sorry franchise for 7 years.

He's a pathetic piece of shit with lots of money. Just having lots of money doesn't make you a genius. But I guess it allows you to be jerk of the year.

So one angry letter, no acknowledgement towards a certain player, and now he's the biggest jerk in the NBA? I'd like to know how many of you guys actually know the person in real life and can actually confirm just how big of a jerk he is. I'm not playing favorites here simply because he's the owner of my favorite team, the Cavs, and when I first found out about the letter, and I still think this to this day, I said he acted like a crying butt hurt bitch. I guess you could argue that it would've been nice to mention Lebron or the Heat for that matter actually winning the title, that's still no reason though to think someone's an asshole. But saying that he's suddenly the NBA's modern day Torrelle Owens simply because he was pissed off that his franchise player, a guy he did everything for in a 7 year time span, publicly announced he left the team that had loved him for so long, is just stupid. I mean come on, I'm sure you guys would be pissed off too. I know I was when it happened. He went too far with the letter and the idiotic prediction, but that's no reason to say he's an asshole. And neither is leaving out the Heat winning.

This is a classic example of people trying to make something with literally nothing (with the tweet, not the prediction). It's laughable actually. Not acknowledging a team winning a title because a player he despises is on the team, and he's suddenly the biggest jerk? What a joke.

Yes, a complaint that was done by other NBA owners as well, not just him, so I don't count that, nor does that really make him an asshole. I do think that just makes him more of a baby though. A guy that likes to complain? I would agree with that. But he's not an asshole in anyway.
