So...
...who is getting fed up with the Nets management?
I understand business decisions need to be made and are not always popular, but the Nets appear to not have any real focus and/or goal.
What direction are the Nets heading? Are they rebuilding? Are they trying to win this year? I just don't know.
Words mean little to me, so I usually try to gauge a teams direction by its' actions. But outside of not matching KMart, the Nets have done nothing. Are they going into the season with seven or eight players?
Anyone else confused and fed up with the Nets management?

Since the big K-Mart lie, you can't trust anything that they say, so yeah, we're forced to sit back and wait. I didn't renew my ticket package, and there are thousands out there like me, so it's not like they're really pulling anything over on anybody.

The Nets have a dilemma: On one hand, you have an owner who care more about his 'big picture' in Brooklyn. He won't pay for more talents; he won't care if the Nets are winning in next year or two. He will only (seriously) rebuild this team when other (more important) things got settled.
On the other hand, you have a GM who is in last year of his contract. Rod Thorn needs to win now. He needs to win to get an extension, or he needs to win to impress his next employer. There's no other way around. Add to the fact that this team does have pieces to win now (maybe not win-it-all, but win more). You can understand that Thorn will do whatever it takes to get this team better ASAP.
So, my guts tell me that the Nets will have a down year for at least next season. The management, the players, the fans are confused about their roles and the team will hardly make the playoffs.
Let's pray that will not be true...

I'm starting to believe more and more that Ratner doesn't care about basketball AT ALL, even after they move to Brooklyn. He just needs the team to secure his arena, and could just sell them once his deal is done. In that case, it doesn't matter to him whether or not they're ever any good.

Like I said, I understand tough business decisions need to be made. I understand that the contract Martin was asking for was a bit excessive. I am not complaining about losing KMart.
What I am confused about is what direction the Nets are heading.
Are they trying to make up for all the money they lost the last couple years? If so fine, just tell me that.
Are they trying to rebuild around RJ and Kidd? If so, sign some people.
I just do not see where they are going.

One would hope they are building around RJ and are keeping their fingers crossed that Kidd stays healthy...
It appears they are trying to land some talent but are being rebuffed.Moving Kittles is not such a bad move if it brings you under the cap...
Like I said, its very early....Actions by management are the best and only indicator of what their true intentions are..
BTW,what is your feelings on brandon Armstrong??
