That team had more talent than this team period....dude come on. Did that team have Kenyon Martin? They didn't have Kidd, Jefferson and NOBODY.
I love it.....
Shaq with Wade doesn't have enough to bust a grape.....
But Kidd, who just had surgery, has Jefferson and nobody and he's gonna be a five seed.

U over value Kenyon then, cause that year he was a 6rpg power forward. Ya, what a whole they have to fill. RJ is an all-star calibur player now, plus their fast paced offense led by Jason Kidd will still score many points.

In my opinion, the Nets will be better than Charlotte and Atlanta, but will not have a better record than the Magic, so while I agree with your analysis that New Jersey will be amongst the bottom three in the East, I disagree with the teams you chose.
However, if Jason Kidd's injury continues to bother him and he ends up missing a good chunk of the season, I could definitely see them competing with Charlotte for the worst record in the league. I mean, Richard Jefferson is a nice player and all, but I don't see an above average swingman leading a hapless team to any more than 15-20 wins. Depending on Jason Kidd's health, it could be a very long season for New Jersey fans next year. That is, if there are any fans remaining after they finish ripping the team apart.

What? Orlando will make the playoffs next season and be much better than NJ.

Don't know what's happening to this team. I think they'll still make the playoffs with Kidd and Jefferson, but they won't make it past the first round.

LOL it's a firesale and it's not done yet.
This team is not better than the Bulls, Bucks, Wizards, Celtics or Knicks. Those are the six teams that will compete for the final four seeds after Detroit, Indiana, Miami and Philly. Right now....and with the signing of Andres Nocioni by the Bulls only a formality you have to call it like this:
Detroit
Indiana
Miami
Philadelphia
Milwaukee
With New York, Boston, Chicago and Washington competing for those final three spots.
Cleveland? See Lebron James himself admitting "this team took a big step back".

You should be a comedian. Don't forget to bring a sheild though, cause they're likely to throw things at you. A team being bad one year does not automatically equal being bad the next year, especially when the whole friggin' team changes!

To who, though? The Hawks? They are the only ones with the caproom to take him right now.

Philly should throw Glenn Robinson, John Salmons and a first rounder at the Nets for Kidd. Robinson's big contract expires, and the prospect of gaining yet another first rounder has to be enticing to the Nets, as well as getting rid of an unhappy Kidd and his long, expensive contract. From Philly's standpoint, a team of Jason Kidd, Allen Iverson, Andre Iguodala, Kenny Thomas and Samuel Dalembert would have to be the favorites to win the Atlantic division if they weren't already, and one of the top 4 teams in the East along with Detroit, Indiana and Miami.

Nets in '04-'05 = stink.
They need to move Jason Kidd right now and just get on w/ rebuilding. If I were Kidd, I wouldn't want to sit through a season like they're about to have. I would be demanding a trade right now.
They still have RJ, but thats about it. Jacque Vaughn and Rodney Buford are not going to set this team on fire.
Thorn needs to bring out the wrecking ball and start over. Trade Kidd for picks and prospects and move on.

That's why you have to laugh......Kidd is gonna be ticked off all year with this lineup.....it will be like the Magic last year.

The hype. We're only allowed to think someone is good if the media tells us we can.....at least that's how most fans operate.
