Positives heading into next season
Next years line up ZP, Buford, RJ, Walker, Collins. We atleast get to see ZP, Nenad develop. what are your positive things, beside not spending money on games of course

Watching RJ throw up some monster stats and prove he's a top 3 SF. 23/6/5.
Watching Planinic develop with more PT at the 2. He showed the ability to get by his man consistanly last year, hopefully he's working hard on finishing plays.
Watching Nenad develop. I've been choking on the hype since we got him... I wanna see what he can do.

Maybe I'm crazy...
Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm looking forward to seeing Nenad play, as all of us are. I'd also love to hope ZP can hit a shot now, that he doesn't travel when he drives, and that he can handle the ball.
If we could pull off Fatoine and Josh Howard for Kidd, I think a ZP/Howard/RJ/Fatoine/Krstic line-up would be watchable, and maybe halfway exciting.
I really honestly think Antoine could flourish in a style the Nets would play with that line up. In other news, I have no idea what that style will/would be.
I wish Drejer were coming over. We wish we would've picked up some really quality free agents.
Unfortunately, I think this is going to be a tough season to swallow.

Bleh... meant for the "positives going into next season thread."
My apologies.

I'm still excited about the team.
I'd love to see how Nenad, RJ and Zoran develop. Too bad we traded our pick, otherwise it would had been more exciting.

If one were a pessimeist about the last squad winning a title, which in my opinion were a a squad built to be the bridesmaids and never the bride, One could take solace in the fact that if Kidd is traded for a multitude of young players, we are starting from scratch and get to see the true brilliance of Rod Thorn. Given he is still employed, this team could be quite watchable. Rj can prove just how good he is, Nenad and Zoran are primed to take up some key minutes with "star" minutes no longer reserved and Frank can prove just how good a coach he is.
Potentially this team could work.

Well if we could get Howard out of it, I think a Nenad, Power Foward, Richard Jefferson, Howard, Zoran would be a interesting squad.

I know that you guys have to be optimistic but unless you pickup some nice players in a kid deal youll have to wait a few years and probably build through the draft. Unless you sign FAs but I doubt it.

Finding out whether Jefferson will become a full-fledged star, given that he'll carry a star's load, and he's being paid like a star.
Scalabrine's opportunity to take his place with Cardinal, Najera, and the like, as one of the game's elite utility forwards.
Young player development. Planinic, year two. Krstic, year one. Maybe a sleeper or two, Kyle Davis?, surprise and impress.
