Trade for Peja

I think Peja would be a great fit on our team. Playing alongside Krstic and follwing the footsteps of Drazen. I tend to believe that we are near the top of Peja's list of possible teams, but perhaps I am just being optimistic. Anyways, what do you guys think would be a fair offer?

Aaron Williams + Denver 1st rounder + Phila 1st rounder

I think something to that extent may be beneficial to both teams, considering the Kings are a very deep team and the Nets desperately need shooting.

The Kings used to be a deep team. Not any longer. At this point they basically have their starters -- Bibby, Christie, Peja, Webber, Miller -- and Bobby Jackson off the bench. Ostertag can give some decent time as well, but other than that all they have signed is young players.

If they trade Peja for picks and a backup big, they'd be even thinner. I can't imagine them trading him for anything less than an impact player. That player probably doesn't have to be a star, but he needs to be a contributor from the get-go.

The Nets don't have anything to offer.

Not even close to working under CBA rules. Both teams are over the cap so the salaries need to match with in 115% + $100,000.

Now if the Kings want to get under the luxury tax threshold, the Nets could offer part of the KK trade exception and take Peja off their hands for nothing.

Another possible destination for Kidd? If Kidd comes back healthy and if Peja keeps whining, maybe a swap of Kidd and Peja will be good for both teams? Of course, the Nets need to take on more since their salaries don't match up. The Nets can take on Bibby, who is expandable with Kidd in town, but Kings will be losing too much talents out of this deal. So the Nets are going to give up more goods (like picks) or there would be a 3rd team involved.

I don't see any Peja-to-Nets trade without Kidd or RJ being involved as realistic.
