its on CSN...since I live fairly close to philly, I get all their games too, so I'll check it out if I get a chance and see how things look. Hopefully Zo will play, I'm interested to see what he's like coming back from all that has happened.

If so, please give us updates. Sixers site doesn't list it as on TV, though.

I just checked on tvguide.com and it says its on. I've got a meeting I have to go to at 7:00, so I might miss a little of the beginning of the game, but I should be back for a good portion of it.

Zo's in. Hit a jumper his first shot, now he drew a foul from jackson and is at the line.

1 quarter down. Nened is getting some action early, which is good. Zo didn't play very long, but its good to see him there. The crowd, a usual small preseason one, did cheer quite a bit for him when he came in. He looked a little rusty (got a three second violation), but that'll go away with time. As long as he can stay healthy, I think he'll be huge for us this year.

So far they've been playing Collins and Zo together...which I think could work out very good for collins. Zo works the post and kicks it out to Collins, and if he can hit his jumper (which he's hit a few so far tonight), it'd be great.
As far as defense goes....the sixers are shutting us down a lot, and we're doing nothing.

Buford is shooting well tonight. 17 points, 3-5 from three.
17ish minutes for Zo this far...that was more then I was expecting, but if he can do it. He's not showing any fear or hesitation at all. He's going right down there under the basket and posting up. 12 points 4 rebounds so far, thats a good sign.

Zo just had a nice block, ran the court and then commited an offensive foul and that was number 6. 19 minutes tonight...hopefully he didn't over do it.

21-12-7 for RJ, including the game winning dunk. Look for the highlights, its ridiculous. Buford just dishes it too him and he gets wide open. A nice way to end the preseason.

Boxscore
12 points, 5 boards, 2 blocks for Zo. Wow. I guess the 8 turnovers can be forgiven in his first game back in almost a year.
Nice to see Krstic get 20 minutes, and Collins shoot well.
Thanks for the updates, TMac.

No problem. For a preseason game, it was pretty entertaining.
Zo's 8 turnovers..it really didn't seem like that many when watching the game. But like you said, that'll probably change once he gets the rust off.
Kristic got 20 minutes, but he kind of looked a little lost. He got out rebounded a few times, but that'll stop happening once he gets more used to things (atleast I hope he does). He had one nice play at the end of the game where he got a rebound and put it back up and got fouled and it dropped. He also had another pretty nice dunk, that even the super biased sixers announcers were impressed with. I guess it'll take some time, but he's getting there.
About Collins...if he can consistantly knock down his jumper from around top of the key distance, I think he could be very helpful this year. With Zo playing center and him at PF, he seemed like he got a few more open shots then usual, and he was knocking them down tonight.

Agreed on Twin hitting his Js at the top of the key. If you watch the Kings play with their motion offense, their Cs do very little down low. Brad Miller sets screens, passes and hits jumpers. Put him under the basket and 7' foot and long arms are pretty much all he has going for him. As I've compared them in the past, Veal and Miller have the same skill-sets with size (translate to rebounding) and nastiness being the major differences, which says something about what the C needs to have in order to succeed in the motion offense. In general, the Kings like the Nets don't have much of a low-post back-to-the-basket presence, less now with Webber still recovering from the knee.
Twin has the potential to do a Miller-esque job at C if he can consistently hit the 18 foot J, and if Mercer continues to work out as a smooth mid-range scorer and RJ keeps doing his thing.
